About water-based vs silicone-based foundations and their ingredients ✨ For liquid foundations, water as the first ingredient is basically ignorable! When you check for water-based vs silicone-based, it’s more assessing how many silicones there are and how high up the list they are! It’s not an exact science, but it’s a very very good indicator of what primers are likely to work! With the Soft’Lit foundation, of the 31 ingredients (including water), 10 of them are silicones, all within the first 18 ingredients. In fact the first 5 ingredients are water, three silicones in a row, and glycerin! So makes sense that it just did not play at all with a water-based primer haha For comparison, the Eaze Drop Liquid has ~43 ingredients, 8 silicones (9 if we count silica) occurring within the first 25 ingredients, but with only one in the first 5. Haus labs is like 12 out of 40+, interestingly 4 out of the first 5 are silicones, however it then proceeds to have about fifty million types of oil and emollients, and 5 of the 12 silicones are at the literal bottom of the ingredients list, which I think explains the texture perhaps. The Nars has no silicones at all (there are a few ingredients often used as “silicone alternatives” but they’re not silicones, so chemically speaking they won’t necessarily act the same vis a vis primer choices) I went into an adhd reasearch wormhole and have only just been released so you too must suffer this useless deluge of Too Much Information, thanks yall good night drive safe 💋

Theresa the “pink” fenty highlighter is called tutu much. Though I’ve only seen photos online it looks more rose gold or peachy to me.

Shade 1 and 2 both work on my light skin! I even picked up whatever number is the pinky one and love it, so I have 3 of these beautiful highlighters sittin’ on my vanity for daily use ❤️

Thank you for reviewing the Fenty foundation! I have oily skin, but I am acne prone and I pick so I have dry spots because of it. So due to that I use hydrating foundations but set them strongly. Anyways, I am excited to try this foundation once I work through more of my stored up foundations. :) Again thanks for this amazing info! :):):)

Fentys eyeshadows are definitely lacking but if they made liquid shadows or eye crayons with the diamond bomb formula it would sell so well!

I love the Fenty Evesdrop stick foundation- I've got dry skin and love a good cream, and it's replaced the KVD Good Apple cream in my collection because the format is just so much more handy (and seems to go further on my skin too)

Wow, the foundation looks amazing!!! I’m glad you liked it and I am tempted to try it. While Fenty has been a trailblazer for leading the way for a very full line of shades from the very lightest to the deepest shades. Despite all the brand’s success, it’s never been a brand that worked for me. I haven’t really enjoyed many of their products including their original foundations, so i’ve been so hesitant to try more products. Well that is until now. I think this is on my will buy list, now to find a shade!!!

So my trick is to put down a light layer-dot it. Then let it sit for a few minutes. Then when you blend it out it’s thicker and covers more. But you don’t have a lot of product

I'm interested in the foundation. I actually like the concealer 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do have to use it lightly otherwise it will be crease city but I'm also not looking for full-full coverage, if that makes any sense. I have mostly oily skin, prone to acne (despite turning 40 next week 🙄) and I live in Southern Louisiana (hot and humid hell) so I didn't wear a lot of coverage products, 😅😅.
