I will admit, thank God for the speaker, because if it wasn’t for him, parliament would not get anywhere shouting all over each other being disrespectful, thank God someone actually has their head on their shoulders properly and knows what they’re doing

I learned quite a lot from the Speaker to settle a classroom.

The Speaker has quite a temper but he has sometimes good season to be

He's actually really calm considering the job he's doing. It honestly looks harder to make the commons behave than a group of hyperactive 5 year olds.

In just a couple of years, Speaker Hoyle has come close to telling off the House almost as many times as Speaker Bercow did in close to 10 years. Sad to see they have gotten worse, no better.

One of the best speakers this country has ever had. He never put his pride in front of his decisions. Sir Lindsay Hoyle retains the respect of the public.

Problem is, Bercow used to be a Tory MP, so he could admonish them with liberty, you’ll notice he was more lenient with Labour MP’s, Speakers of the House need to be very careful with appearing neutral, so they tend to be more lenient with whichever party they didn’t hail from
