Two things to note not in this video for those coming to the comments section: 1) You cannot complete the Nightsong/Gauntlet of Shar quest completely before coming to Moonrise, otherwise it will auto-trigger the final battle for Act 2. You can do everything up to the waypoint before going down to save/kill the Nightsong, but if you go down and complete it then you will miss everything in Moonrise. 2) In Act 1 you either need to side with Minthara or knock her out/unconscious to get the Save Minthara quest at Moonrise. You can save the Druid camp and still recruit Minthara, which will allow you to have both Halsin and Minthara in your camp, but you need to knock her out while she is temporarily hostile vs full hostile to do this. Otherwise the knockout still counts as a kill and she will not be at Moonrise to trigger that quest. My recommendation is create a save right before the Minthara fight so if you want to restart from that point you don’t have to start completely over from scratch. I also recommend getting to Moonrise Towers as quickly as possible once you begin Act 2 to avoid wasting a lot of time to find out you didn’t knock Minthara out properly to save her.

@@Aeriesan any time! It annoys me when people post “complete…” videos that are actually incomplete because they miss prerequisites required to trigger specific quests. FYI, to get Minthara temporarily hostile just steal one of the items off the table by her and it will trigger a fight where she’s not full hostile. Make sure to use non-lethal melee attacks against her, spells can still kill her with non-lethal activated. A few other helpful tips are to save the goblin camp for the last area you complete in Act 1, excluding the Githyanki Cresh and/or Grymforge since those are technically part of Act 1.5. Personally I cleared the Underdark and Grymforge before the goblin camp. Then complete all quests and exploration of the goblin camp before knocking out Minthara, as there’s a few other steps to ensure success. You can and should kill Priestess Gut before doing this, but don’t kill Dror Ragzlin prior to knocking Minthara out. If you let Gut give you the knock out potion and take you to the prison cell, not fighting out of the chains, Korrilla Hearthflame will intervene and kill her for you so it doesn’t trigger camp hostility. Also, if saving Halsin, do it prior to knocking out Minthara but don’t let him join you after you save him since he automatically triggers hostility when anyone in the camp sees him. This is when you will want to get a full rest and save before confronting Minthara, then make a save you don’t overwrite until you confirm she’s at Moonrise. After knocking Minthara out you should be okay to short rest without her waking up, but don’t long rest because she will wake up and be gone. You’ll want to immediately go kill Dror Ragzlin and his local goons, then clear that final area before fast traveling to the waypoint by the grove. You can go get Halsin to join you for this fight. Go speak to Zevlor, but don’t go to camp before finding and speaking to Halsin. Then go back to Zevlor and do the camp party scene. After that you can complete the Githyanki Cresh quests and go to Moonrise through Grymforge on a good play through, Mountain Pass on evil play through. Once you get to Moonrise head straight to the chamber where Minthara should be in an argument with Ketheric Thorm that will lead to triggering the save her quest through the right dialogue options.

When in Balthazar’s Chmaber make sure to interact with the upper right book. Only then the system unlocks the altar for the heart. All other options are traps.

Your videos are terrific! They are clear, the pacing is perfect and are very instructive. It's why you just gained a new subscriber.

If you dont have the keys for baaltazhar just use astarion , go invisible break the lock and before opening the door again without being caught just sneak

This is a very nice movie :) One thing I would add that there is a paladin Minthara quest that you can get there (and you don't need to be bad), but it starts in chapter 1. I'm playing now 2nd time a game with different characters and this video is perfect for me :D thx!

there is down in the prison a weird chaimber witj rotten corpses and somebody sings about chopping mead. Tav mentions there is a way to get to the other side but not from this room. Is it a passage through the mausuleum or Balthazars Office? Edit: Nevermind XD you get there after you defeat Ketheric

Ketheric is at the main hall before the Z'Rell encounter for me why is that?

Yes, he is suppose to be there. That's non skippable for all scenarios so not a "secret" per se. That's why I didn't show it in the video as a quest or collectable.

My play through is vastly different idk what i did. I had a giant fight as soon as I got there with everyone from last light inn. First Lady with buff potion isn’t there

You can’t complete the Nightsong quest before you go there, otherwise it will auto-trigger the final battle.

Lol, I had the same thing happen to me on my first playthrough! I did Gauntlet of Shar first and freed Nightsong, so I had to fight everyone when I entered Moonrise. So I didn't even see the iconic Ketheric cutscene this way 😅

@@user-mu8dm4rk7g you can actually complete everything in the Gauntlet of Shar up to entering the Shadowfell, it’s once you enter the Shadowfell to complete the Nightsong quest that all Act 2 quests that must be done in advance are permanently closed off. It even warns you when you are going to enter the Shadowfell that progressing will alter the events in the game after.

When you roll dice, look at bottom left of your screen. You will find a button to change dice skin.
