I'm a bit confused about your Patreon. I understand the $7 tier would allow watching season 6, but it says I need my own copy to "watch along." This may be a stupid question, but does this mean I would just be watching a video of you with no video/audio from the show? I just don't really understand how that would work.

I have a free trial playlist as well (should be in the description) so you can see exactly what it's like. I know other YTers provide the video, but I'm a bit more risk adverse - I could absolutely get copyright strikes if I do that (plus it's just straight up illegal) 😅 Hopefully that helps! Even back as far as the "Keep Summer safe" episode, Rick was doing Inspector Gadget shit. He literally said "GoGo Sanchez ski shoes!"

Yeah, he had a few built-in gadgets early in the series, but he's definitely gotten a LOT more over time. I figure every time he loses a fight, he basically upgrades himself to correct whatever weakness that fight revealed. For example, he got massively beat up in his fight with Bird Person, to the degree he probably had to replace a few body parts, so why not build in a few extra tools while doing so?

He even installed 1 (or more) in Morty. I.e. the same Keep Summer Safe episode where he triggers (via extremely delayed nano-bots) Morty to turn into a car.

@@The_Rickest_Rick Very minor spoiler: There's another Morty augment in season 6, which is explained by Rick with the great line "I do childproofing stuff while you're asleep". So who knows what Morty has installed in him...

The Central Finite Curve was a barrier between those dimensions where Rick is the smartest person and the dimensions where he is not. By destroying the CFC, it opens it up for characters to appear who are smarter than Rick.

@@user-so4xp1de5i He didn't help establish it, the citadel was established as a reaction to his rampage through parallel universes looking for the Rick that killed his wife and daughter. He didn't help establish it, but he's the reason it exists. Or, rather, existed.

To explain a little since it had been complicated for me initially: The central finite curve is essentially a big container that holds all the universes where Rick is the smartest- which is why the citadel is here, and why every Rick we’ve come across is a scientist or someone smart. Outside of the curve, Ricks are either average, don’t exist, or have a different life entirely. They aren’t the smartest man in the universe outside of the curve. Evil Morty wanted to break the curve so he can escape the universes where Rick is the smartest, because he’s fed up with their sociopathic and destructive nature, and felt he had never been able to truly get away from Rick. He needed our Rick, C-137, for reasons I believe will be explained in season six and I won’t explain here. But if you’re so inclined to know SPOILER WARNING essentially Rick C-137 created the central finite curve (most likely) to look for Rick prime- as a way of consolidating universes to make his search easier

Am I the only one who thinks that Evil Morty doesn't want to BREAK the finite curve, just exit it? I mean, in my opinion, the watch on his wrist doesn't show the Curve breaking, it just seems like him being out of the Curve makes the watch not recognize it anymore. Plus, it's not like the universe shattered or anything, he just made a wormhole and went through it, then it closed again.

Yeah that's what actually happened, confirmed in season 7, it's understandable why some people think it was broken though based on what they showed us in the season 5 finale

The fake memory wasn’t entirely fake a Rick dis kill his wife and Beth but he didn’t frantically get to making the portal gunn immediately like he showed the guy ge spent time sulking before deciding to hunt down Prime Rick. The Central Finite Curve is essentially a barrier that limits infinity it separated the dimension were Rick is the smartest from those where he isn’t made the hunt for prime Rick easier than searching throw literal infinite universes of an infinite multiverse but he never found him. Evil Morty might originally be from one outside the of the Curve or the Curve wasn’t as solid of a plan a smarter than Rick Morty happened and got suck of Ricks god complex and ego and wanted to dip put somewhere he could escape from that type of Rick.

And then we finally get to season 6 😀. And then....I dunno

From all reports, he hasn't really been involved in the show since season 3 beyond voicing the characters. His bad behavior got him kicked out of the writers room back then. If you look back, you can actually notice the change at that point: seasons 1 and 2 had a lot of improv moments, season 3 had a few, and since then the show has been pretty much 100% scripted. Given that, I think the show has a decent chance to survive the loss of Roland.

@@SuperDrocket Yeah based on when Roland had no more creative control/input i'm sure that loss was for the best. The show has just gotten better since then. But i'm picky. If the new voice work isn't at least close to identical, it'll ruin it for me.

I don't know if that is necessarily true. I do seem to recall that multiple seal team Ricks did have the drool, though. I'm not saying that this disproves your theory, but it does seem that the drool itself doesn't mean it is or has to be C-137.

@@The_Rickest_Rick Correct. Two members of seal team Rick were drooling as well. But you can distinguish them from C-137 due to their haircuts. They physically look different from C-137. The non canon Ricks look like C-137 but without ever drooling.

It's possible they could usurp this and make it canon, however, up to this point I don't think they planned it that way. There were plenty of normal-looking drool Ricks that have been revealed not to be C-137 and several instances of C-137 not drooling.
