I always thought the Chipettes looked very human-like in the original cartoon and it always confused me. My six year old brain in the 90's: "But why would chipmunks fall in love with humans??" The one and only thing I liked about the reboots was that everyone looked like chipmunks, but the story from the 80's movie was far superior.

Simple, lots of the cartoon episodes released on DVD were based on other holidays, so I'm guessing they wanted to mix up the holiday concept apart from Christmas. Which was the first original special theme as well as a parody of "the Christmas Carol". The other holidays were only 1 time episodes or so. Plus, there are some references from the animated movies that are nice reminders of the original horror movies. For example, Frankenstein, the spooky castle, crazy doctor, and theme are references from the original Frankenstein. The wolf references, ways of killing a werewolf, Talbot, and the monkshood plant are references to the original Werewolf movie. There are some differences though, like no Egore in the animated Chipmunks version, and how getting bit by the werewolf that bit you can change you back to normal. But yeah. That's my explanation

My sister loves these movies to death. I only really enjoyed them because I was younger when they came out and I enjoyed that humor. After watching these reviews on there own like 6 times each I have concluded that they are indeed weird but I add of Doug's extra bits to it in my head upon Rewatch.

Fun facts: Alan Tudyk was the voice of "Simone" and in the last movie Kaley Cuoco was Elenor rather then it being Any Poehler.

I hope one day we get a Nostalgia Critic commercial special about his own commercials. They are sometimes the best and worst commercials I've ever seen. I always sit and watch them.

I don’t particularly enjoy the idea of Doug being put through this much personal strife, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I laughed like Dr. Evil when I saw the title

This. I love rewatching these, Caddicarus, etc. Whenever I'm playing games, working, or painting. They're both great for casual watching and as a backdrop for other things. It's fitting that Nostalgia Critic has become nostalgic. This is one of few series that gets better and more professional the longer it runs. Everyone here's really grown into their own, I love it.

The dance was almost choreograph exactly like the old move and it was fantastic.🤣Hyperboner🤣we call that move, I’m a little teapot with seizures, I spit out my drink with laughter. They were easy to make, the actors somehow got coaxed to comeback each and every time, they made a decent profit, and the writers wanted to see if the could make a even worse title for each consecutive film. "Not to mention cringey, pun based, banking off the success of current popular movie posters."

These movie series reviews are fun. Here are more that could work: Disney Star Wars, the X-Men movies, and even the animated Titanic trilogy.
