I play Way of the Hunter occasionally so KZread randomly throws in one of your posts, science of the lures I believe it was called. Really helped me understand what they do during the lure call. I would use it and switch back to it just to see when it was centered again so I could reuse it with the proper lure timing. On Xbox it's kind of a pain to switch back and forth quickly and it was frustrating me how the animals would react. Why they would walk in, stop, turn away, start walking and then start trotting away. Figured they were sensing me but they should not have been. Now that I know what's going on I know how much time I have to take the shot because I know what their reactions mean. That was a good one. Thanks

That is great advice for new plays . I do the same thing for shot placement. We have 3d animals at the gun club and we use them to teach new hunter shot placement.

The 3d model I think is the best way to learn for sure =) Sounds like a great club 👍

Excellent video BW. Thanks for all that info you put in. A couple of things I'd like to insert here is 1) Watch all of the video if you're new to the game. This is the most solid tutorial you'll get on shooting. 2) Difficulty is only a suggestion. You don't need to do Ranger mode. Pick what is fun for you. There are no braggin rights to worry about. It's your game make it fun, even if that means using Hiker difficulty. 3) Super long range shots. Do them on maps that will have enough open spaces where you can get the 700 meter distance. Aurora Shores. Tikamoon Plains, and Matariki are great for that. Don't use the hunter sense dot in your scope past about 400 meters. The dot even on the super accurate weapons is too big to help when you make the shot. Use it to get the wind info and elevation if you need the assist. Lots of practice with the weapon you are trying to use for shooting. I use what works for me. Steyr .308 Monobloc, Remington .300 Long Range are my go to's. Then you can bag a Feral Goat at 711 meters with your .308 or .300 Remington.(See BW I did good and didn't even say anything about the .338 Lapua! )😃

Personally i dont have a strong opinion on using or not hunter sense dot. If u want to play without it, whatever difficulty u just need to somewhat pick a weapon and stick with it. Each caliber has different drop and windage/ drift characteristics. Either lots of practice or make a drop and drift table/book. If u like to change weapons alot, thats too much work to be fun, so just use the dot, yeah its easier but above isnt hard, just time consuming

The sneaking doesn't do anything for me either. Isn't done very well at all. Because we don't know how much noise we are making.

Yeah, the sneaking isn't very fun. It's too bad. It would be awesome to enjoy sneaking in close. But right now it just feels janky

So far I'm really enjoying this game, you did mention the bullets are slower than real life, is this how bullets behave most the time in these hunting games?

Most of them they move slower. These feel like half speed or something
