  yeah from my overkill it does seem like lungs take a full lung bar and 2.7 to 4 times the bar over overkill for Instant. so for a t5 deer that 400 in bar and about 1600 above bar so combine 2000 j to just one lung it could be 3 times for 1200 overkill but haven't gotten lucky with a shot dividing overkill between 1000 and 1616 of overkill damage

  @@bumblewoot I like when you experiment with ballistics and explain it because I don't have a clue about that. I never seen a weapon in my life. I used to do archery with horsebows but on targets only and on horseback but not at gallop. Wasn't that good on movement 😂

  I like your thinking, but it is highly unlikely it's a decimal move only. The cavity damage is incorrect all throughout the line graph as it increases in the middle of the graph but the graph is always linear downwards

  @@bumblewoot it could be there's an unknown factor not currently being used with the cavity damage that resolves that. Kinda like that magic 48%.

  @@DrgnRebrn could be. But all logic says no. Even the illogical logic that this game claims to be logical says nope. As the magic number for cavity is 52 and it only works 1% of the time due to its non linear design. It just shouldn't be on that line on the graph. But you are right, there can always be something hiding 👍

  ​@@bumblewoot yeah my thoughts are the bullet energy graph the 52% is used to collect how many cavity joules there are for the shot, but then it is spread to organs based on that guns unique cavity profile, sorta forced but to make each gun it's sorta own special

  @@toothlesschwawa yeah, except there is the scenario where the organ recieves a good deal more than 52% in the same time frame of bullet travel. The 6.5 for example can have 80% in the lung with no way for it to have collected more in that time frame other than being above 52% during that time. If that makes sense

  "i don't have words Lucas...I don't have words." 😂 I'm glad you mostly confirmed my sense that MP is now largely devoid of anything even hinting towards 5*; thought it might just be me or the area of the map I've been using (was trying to get a 5* Sika on Matariki and my SP map was going to take almost an entire lifetime of fast forwarding to grow even a single candidate). It's a real shame because I feel pretty much like you do; that blasting and meme play is fun for about 5 minutes and not much after that. If it has a place at all, MP content might be best as a "highlights" addition to the channel where instead of making it part of a stream, you record offline and edit a 10-15 min. package of whatever was most interesting; especially if you can record the voice chat from Discord (MP without VC is almost silly, IMO). Don't know if that sounds of interest to you, but if it does and you don't have anyone else to try it with, let me know here and I'll DM you on Discord and we'll see if we can't find a time to give it a go? At any rate, I've always appreciated your style and was glad to catch a stream again. Hopefully I'll be around for the next one too, take care.

Old Man Rum does the MP with friends on his channel all of the time and it works well. But that's on the framework that is a fun party time kind of thing. I don't party lol

  So being super tired last night, I see the calculations now. I knew they add up from beginning to get energy to bullet stop or exit and knew there's always an 8.3% difference in penetration to cavity, but until I looked again at toothless's sheet he sent me I finally saw the .48 multiplication to total damage on all organs, never occured to me to apply it to each total organ damage and it applying the same "slaps forehead". So I knew all the data, just didn't think about looking at the 48% not as a whole but individually. Glad toothless is smart 😂 That's why you should never stare at anything too long without walking away and giving it some head clearing 😂

  Euroasian lynx tufts on ears gets bigger when the lynx is growing. If this is a young one, there should be at least small tufts on top of their ears. Hmm. Please don't fuck up this majestic animal. About the artic fox. the white Arctic fox's fur is usually brownish-grey on the face, the back and the outside of the legs, while most of the sides and the underside of the body are greyish-white to yellowish-white. This looks to white. Depends on what season this map is played at. It actually look like late spring. Just when snow is almost gone. I don't know. Must see more gameplay.

  Thank you for this great in depth look of what's to come in Way of the Hunter! I am Scandinavian (Norway), and it looks like Way of the Hunter might have taken great inspiration from the Laplands in Finland, along with northern part of Norway/Sweden. I am really looking forward to this reserve, but I miss people to hunt with. So if anyone want to team up one day, just let me know! (Let's go for that 5 star Mallard duck!)

  I have said it from day 1 this game desperatly needs better in-game information for players to have a chans of trying the manage the herds. The in-game animal information means nothing if the players cant use in-game information to keep track of it somehow. Why even bother having the amount of time animals stay at what age stage if there is nothing telling the player what year it is.

  I appreciate you covering that time lapse. I am watching this back. When I stream similar to you I assume folks come and go all evening. Usually I sit around 18-25 viewers. I have a good core of die hards in there that always show up and support. I had the idea to try to push u over 10k earlier in the day if you streamed. That's why I asked you in my stream if you were gonna stream lol. Once I saw you go up I asked the chat if they would like to help a fellow you tube channel that I like and thought they would like as well. They were all excited to do it so we did it mid stream. Many of them just started to play WOTH and are excited to back watch some of your vids. I told them you are laid back and chill like us. They like authentic people. Someone misspoke in the chat about our group size on the specific games. We have a good size angler and theHunter group our woth group is pretty small, thats why you have not encountered it lol. But slowly revitalizing it.

  19:05 absolutely! Definitely need some kind of reliable indicator for determining the aging/calendars for various game. The current one, fur type? Unintentional Lag spikes? Realy isn't a good solution. I imagine a solution wouldn't be too difficult to implement after some consideration. I've been tracking a few 4 star mule and whitetails and really have no idea when to expect them to max out. Or if they're ever going to before they die. This is a frustrating point with this game for me. I'm playing on Xbox, not sure if I can ever spot the lags that you noted because my Xbox game lags all the time, for reasons unknown...

  @@abmqa yes, this game has many issues that can be improved with simple solutions. Why they do not implement simple quality of life things? No way to know. A basic calendar recording 3 days in a year is extremely simple for them to add. 🤷‍♂️

  Do Hunter, and dial back the hud and hunter sense (rangefinder in scope, etc.). You still get the high animal senses challenge without the ranger mode not being that great as a full on simulator.

  It's the amount of patience required to get in close that gets me. Sneaking in to within 50m on a bedded herd is fun but VERY time consuming. And I cannot stand the caller system. That's what keeps me out of the higher difficulties.

  oh no, keep going. I thought the flashing and dot location stuff was common knowledge, but most people probably don't look that close. I was analyzing the harvest screen since the first week of the game being released. I assumed too much. In YT world it is required to repeat info over time. If I did bring it up before it is long lost in a pile of videos 😂

  Like you said if implemented well this should be a good update. I really hope they implement some kind of bullet deformation at impact. Plenty of models to use as examples most IRL ammo purchases show the unused bullet next to one that's made impact. The fact its a promo for an ammo manufacturer they must have done some dilligence in making ballistics similar to IRL so I do feel cautiously optimistic they could have done well in implementation (ballistics and performance) but blaring obvious things have been missed before. Feels good to have something to look forward to :)
