Which is why it is called a finishing move (secret techinque) when you do it at the end you see a title screen. But yes you do have a point it looks funny when a character gets up like nothing happened.

Naruto only modelled the Uzumaki Naruto Combo after Sasuke Uchiha's Lion Combo, increasing its lethality by combining the Lion Combo's taijutsu with the Shadow Clone's ninjutsu. The following your opponent is actually a separate technique called Shadow of the Dancing Leaf which Naruto doesn't actually do.

Fun fact: "Mushi" is Japanese for "bug" but also for "ignore". When Shino says "Mushi wa yoku nai", it's saying ignoring is bad but it's also a pun on saying that bugs are bad.
