Thank you for this. My kid is too young for the show, but she loves cuddling our Serenity plushie, so she was thrilled when there was a video of Serenity flying 😊

Is this the only show in history to embrace the "no sound in space" approach? Damn I loved this show

Yes I love that. It makes it so much more exciting, but, why do they ruin it by giving the space battle at the end sound? It looses that beautifull superb eerie balletic realism and it just become a kids show. I think it is the only space show that was realistic. There are films, and of course the master, Kubrick with 2001. Forget the sequel 2010, that had sound in space and was boring. There's also Gravity, and I believe the new film First Man is realistic in that way aswell. I don't understand why they have to have sound. I don't get why that makes it more exciting. I think it makes it less exciting.

Nope. Battlestar Galactica (new gen) popularised that filming technique too

I love when they have to paint it for the Reavers. Gonna have to watch this again, not seen it in years.

to be honest its a design that at first seems ugly but as the show goes on u fall in love it

Never been a fan of space or space ships but as soon as I saw Serenity, I fell in love with design right then ❤

that last clip , looks like serinity finally went FTL

It's from a sizzle reel that the special effects company from Firefly made for the 15 year anniversary about a year ago or so. Thanks for asking, it is pretty amazing!
