I'm amazed at how well it resembles the actual show, both on the outside and in the inside! It seems larger on the inside than on the outside :O

they had all the rooms laid out in relation to where they would be on the ship and you could walk to any room on the ship without stepping back out into the warehouse they were built in. the part of the ship exterior that wasn't CGI was the big front cargo ramp. so they could set that door up on any of the outdoor locations and that would let them know how big the ship would be in relation to that hatch.

Hey, thanks for reviewing my ship! Looks like I'll have to fine tune the thrusters a bit so they don't cook itself, those are often finicky. You missed the dinosaurs on the right of Wash's cockpit console :)

Getting the scale of a ship right is really hard it's either too big or too small but you made it just right. Truly a masterpiece, well done :)

@@blackstag5491 Thanks! Its actually a little bit bigger in my version than in the canon material, and I still had to shrink the passenger rooms in the tail a lot. SE blocks are just so thick they don't do well for small ships with large interiors.

It's better to end a show while it is good rather than making it worse with more seasons.

Love the Ship, Loved the Show and the Movie. I was Heart broken when they canceled it after the first Season.

Amazing build! Looks to be just about perfect in scale and detail. I'm gonna need to grab this, and build some shuttles for it. Shiny!

the forward larger bunk rooms were used by Captain Mal Reynolds(Nathan Fillion) and the married couple Zoe + Wash, while the smaller forward bunk were Kaylee and Jayne's. There were supposed to by about bunks for about 4-6 occupants in the passenger section were the doctor, River and Sheppard Book would sleep. And finally Inara would sleep in her rented shuttle(usually the port side one)

Vid just popped in my suggestions so I know I'm way late to the party. But with the Scrapyards Mod this ship is a perfect fit into that world style playthrough!

I loved that show.. this ship looks awesome.

I recently played Lone Echo and it made me moist thinking of Space Engineers in VR. I know there's a 3rd party VR thing, but seriously. This game is screaming to be remade in VR. It would be out of this world.

mike dude has made some really amazing stuff. He's made some amazing MCRN stuff from the expanse as well as some BSG ships. think most of those are still as yet unfinished or private to our faction though sadly

I think he misspoke. This one is using the model and set from the Serenity motion picture, it has some different bits like the cargo in front of the bridge, as well as different color scheme. and larger engines compared to the TV show.

If I recall there is another firefly that captain shack in his survival series and I loved this ship

Damn fine work making something like this with details that don't really translate well in SE. Hell, I even had to go check my library with the full season plus the movie, because at first glance the scale of the cockpit looked a bit small...but nope...it's me misremembering shit. lol o7

if you are going to do firefly missions one great one would be the scene where they get into a barfight in the middle of the desert and they get chased out to a ravine and then the serenity pop's up from behind the ledge and opens its hangar to let them in and then flies off

Train Job is my second favorite episode, and is S01E02. Train job wouldn't exist if they weren't forced to create a "new" episode 01. Since, the original episode 01 was shot in wide screen and the station refused to run it as wide screen.

The original pilot was not used because the network wanted more lighthearted attitudes. Also, the episodes were shown out of gorram order. Whedon intended the series to work best as widescreen and specifically filmed everything to force the dimensions. He even specified a shade of black just shy of the threshold that would trigger the network cutoff for commercials, as he wanted specific moments "In The Black". He understood that any point where it has extended frames of total black would be used by standard editing to cut to commercial.

Whiplash made a script for that on the workshop. Just load it into a programmable block and follow the instructions.

clearly there is space left for a small pod on each wing, not too hard to add some landing gear locked ships to that :D Gotta says though, it looks kinda janky, all the thrusters sticking out eww. Pretty cool though.

That's my biggest issue with SE, you need so many different types of engines for different Atmospheres. Yes, hydrogen works in everything but at the expense of lots of fuel you go through awfully fast.

Hello there

Why do people prefer ship designs that are made to operate in atmospheres, rather than be safer for space travel, where radiation and weightlessness are the primary concerns. If you want to land on a large planet you can use a shuttle. Most humans can't think outside the box (Sphere.) Remember the Jules Verne design that shot a capsule out of a canon (A one way trip for sure?)

A shuttle can't carry as much cargo as being able to open the cargo bay door. If you want ships designed never to enter atmosphere, those would be shown in seeder ships intended for multi-generation migrations

I liked how more industrial and realistic looking the vehicles were in that show, but even back than i thought that this is one ugly ship!
