This scene, felt like a horror film out of the sudden. Seeing the tanks come out of the fog, the ground trembling, how the german lines got so easily overwhelmed and the despair of not knowing how to counter them other than keep firing their rifles. And dont get me started on the flamethrowers, I felt chills down my spine during the whole sequence.

Same. The tank scene is just an absolute real horror. I'm still so traumatized after watching the scene...I can't even imagine how scared the soldiers were when they saw the indestructible metal monsters first time.

The saint chamond tanks adding with these theme does the feeling of a horror for german troops who dont have tactics to counter these landships.

People forget the French in WW1 were horrifying to go up against. A 16 year old dude who hasn't eaten in days still ready to give you a right hook.

The tanks scene, absolutely terrorific

The moment the tanks come out of the fog was terrific

As someone else said, the soundtrack sounds very industrial because is sugest that ww1 was like a large killing machine with imense rusty cogs that where running/ grinding flesh and bone all the time

When the tank hit the trench and started ripping the soldiers to shreds with the side turrets

"Look hans the enemy is retreating!" "Hans why do I hear a tractor..?"

Haunting! Unforgettable track. It makes you feel like you really do get a glimpse into the sheer terror that machinery of war evokes in soldiers.

The background sound effects sound like metal grinding, and the horns sound like the exhausts of the tanks

Never have I ever thought that tanks in a movie would be so suspenseful!

Well pretty much all these soldiers have never seen that before. I mean think about it, they’ve Bering going against men, horses, and armored cars. Now imagine you been dealing with all that stuff and suddenly a 23 ton metal monster is rolling towards you. It’s like someone fighting guys bigger than them, then all of a sudden Andre the giant comes in

Damn scenario having a wild music background.

The tanks with this music made the most horrifying scene in 2022 for sure.

Just seeing them it's like having a monster appear right in front of you RIP German that got run over

I was frozen in fear as I saw the tanks, they almost seemed like metal monsters, almost like dragons.

also the song is underrated.

Just imagine this horror for the germans there. You just overrun a trench and then there are almost indestructible monsters of steel shooting whole organs out of your fellow soldiers.While they are probably burning after.

This music ended as the french tank fired at the German soldiers gave me goosebumps

Funy, the first tanks were easily defeated and didn’t caused many losses and disadvantage for the germans. Absoulutelly perfect scene tough, showing us the first time these manmade monsters set their tracks on earth in history, forecasting centuries of terror and annihilation for the common soldery. The fear on their faces, like when the mice see a cat for the first time, and somehow they know they will be hunted for generations to come.

That scene was therror. Aboslut terror. The righht grab oof music is compliting and filling the terrifing moments of this part. But, I reather not see the tank smashing the soliger.
