“All Praise to Thee”

This video showcases an exquisite arrangement of a prominent Martin Luther hymn (translated into English) by Elaine Hagenberg, performed by the Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale during its “Wintersong” concert on 01 Dec 2018 at College Church, Wheaton, IL. All footage (images, video, music) is from that concert. Other images (churchofjesuschrist.org, NASA.gov, pixabay.com, wikiart.org, wikimedia.org) honor Martin Luther and his hymn, and/or illuminate the hymn themes of the Incarnation and of praising the heaven-sent Jesus. The video opens with a brief commentary about the song followed by the translated hymn text, to help set the context. The music features the tender sound of the Chorale, the sensitive conducting of Greg Wheatley, and a moving accompaniment rendered by an ensemble comprising piano (played by J.M (Mac) Willaert) and strings.
