One tip for your injury is to roll out your feet with a tennis ball, people love to roll calves but neglect that the feet also play a roll in Achilles pain

So, I'm wondering if you have more recently increased your time in spikes. My daughter recently added in spikes and her achilles was feeling sore afterwards. It could be going from training shoes with 8mm drop to a lower stack height Dragonfly.

@@toastedwaffle8622 I'm not hating, but I think he reached his limit when he broke the 4 min mile years ago. He just injured himself again because of fool's gold. Let's hope he gets better of course. It's a hard truth to accept ... you lose your speed gradually as you get older. That's why I think he should focus on road races.

Stop heel pain can be a sign of an injury and thiscan be something major. It can be plantar facia that can be stressed. He should take some rest and do more endurance on the bike or eliptical like Allie.

Question: is it more under the foot (or lateral on the inside of the foot) plantar facia or the achilles tendon. Get it check out and take the full prescribed rest. Be a bit more careful with those hard workout that are very fast and demanding like those on spikes.

Train those joints and tendons like an arm wrestler... They know how to make the most complex joints super strong. Small movement, lots of weights, many times... its food for your ligaments joints tendons... Hoping you get past this quickly.

All out 600s are no fun, many 800s I ran were basically all out 600s plus 200 more of tying up. If you have been stepping up intensity achilles pain could be caused by getting a little lazy with form and "flicking" with ankles rather than driving w leg strength which will stress it.

Get out of those Zoom Victory Spikes. The pronounced negative heel drop and heel pain 2-3 days later coincidence? For race go back to Dragonfly or even Avanti tyo. You were doing sessions with Next% and then down to Victory?! Yeah Victory feel fast but on a tight/over strained fascia tendon they're slow.
