ALL OUR MINI PATIO PONDS! Easy Japanese Rice Fish Mini Pond

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

A tour of ALL MY MINI PATIO PONDS. Plus, I set up a new, simple Japanese medaka rice fish mini pond today. Rice fish may still be hard to get outside of Japan but here, they are one of the most common pet fish. Medaka Rice fish are super hardy and they can live outside during the cold winters where the surface of the water freezes. It's pretty amazing.
Today I set up a new little pond, very simple and something that anyone can do. I used a wabikusa in this set up. Wabikusa are also not so common in other countries I think but you can use any type of plant you want whether its just lily pads, stem plants, foreground plants, floating plants, anything works! I hope you enjoyed this video :)

The plant in your Wabikusa is a Sagittaria latifolia (called water arrow). It's a plant which does not fear winter frosts, but which loses its leaves and reborn in spring thanks to a small bulb. Very common in some area in France, and popular in water ponds ;)

Get a group of about 10 or so of the Espei Rasboras...........Great size and super chill, I’ve had a group for 4 years now, never get tired of them. Mine are old lol, try and get young ones and you’ll have them along time, super hardy, the color looks great in planted tanks with wood, and they won’t touch the shrimp.

Your "wabikusa" looks alot like our kangkung or also known as morning glory in some parts of the world. We love to eat this plant by stir frying em in hot wok. Best tasting veggies ever...kids love em. Ive never met anyone hating kangkung. I might be mistaken thou. Anyway...if you happen to break one of the long steam you should that the plant is hollow. In america this plant is a pest and i heard no one is allowed to plant em as theyre quite invasive. But here in my country we cant get enough of em...yummm

Your uncle is such a wonderful soul! He reminds me of my late grandpa who also had a durian tree that he loved dearly! Tell your uncle to plant it directly in the soil, so it grows big and actually bears fruit. My grandpa also raked dead leaves below beside the durian tree to make it bear fruit-and it actually worked, we would have like 3 or 4 durians a year-, maybe you can tell your uncle that too (but when the durian plant is bigger, lol, i dont want him to burn his durian plant)
