Thank you FC Bayern, very few teams do the proper farewell to a legendary midfilder like Xabi Alonso, I still feel that he is a bit underrated by the general public, Xabi Alonso was for me one of the Best central midfilders in history and you treat him like that, i applause that, from a Madrid fan and lover of this sport :) Sad Day for football

Nah. Gerrard was kinda overrated since he's british. You know english media trying to hype everything they have. Xabi's best ever midfield partner was Modric. On a club level I mean. Otherwise Iniesta and Xavi at Spain.

I didn't say he's not good. He was. Just nowhere the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo, Zidane etc. English players are just overrated.

well he was actually better than all of them. he was a complete midfielder who scored loads of goals, single handedly won matches. a brilliant passer. and most importantly he could defend and tackle like a champ, which iniesta xavi pirlo couldnt

How he would be better than them all when he won almost nothing in his career? Not a league title, playing for the second most successful club in England, no world cup, no euros, nothing. Just a single CL. Compared to Zidane, Iniesta, Xavi and Pirlo thats almost amateur level. You are brainwashed by english media.

Xabi is a legend and there is no doubt about it, but certainly his is no Bayer legend and then still they made this congratulation video for him. That's when you know that a club is big with a little actions like this. I wish that in Real Madrid do the same with his players, cuz u know the clubs are more than just sports companies to make money. Well done Bayer well done.
