In today's video, I'll be giving you all a REALLY in-depth look at my restored 1993 GMC Jimmy. Along with giving it a thorough look at every single aspect of what went into the rebuild, I'll be hitting the road talking about how it drives and give a lengthy demo of the custom exhaust system. Thank you all so much for making this series ABSOLUTELY EPIC!!! It was an incredibly rewarding and educational experience to say the least!

For this series, I'm excited to announce a new partnership between Saabkyle04 and O'Reilly Auto Parts (www.oreillyauto.com/) Together, we'll be bringing the Jimmy back to its former glory! I'll be focusing on a lot of DIY content to fix what's broken, while upgrading key components. My goal is to get this thing to a point that it could be a reliable daily driver. There's a ton of things that need to be done, so expect a lot of cool content with this one. Thanks so much for watching and I hope you all enjoy! I'm really excited about these projects. They're a great way for me to interact with you all more and us all to have fun together!

Dude Kyle I've gotta be honest, when I first got on KZread ten years ago as a freshman in high school I watched your channel more than anything. This channel is genuinely what got me into cars. Over the years I've subscribed to like 100 other channels (many of them auto related), and I watch them all as much as I can, so naturally I didn't watch as many of yours. Your recent stuff, especially this series, has really brought me back here. Like you I find older everyday cars more interesting than fancy super cars, and all of the restorations/details and DIY stuff is super cool to see. Really impressed with your FINISHED product, and genuinely happy to see your channel thriving. Cheers man!

Congrats Kyle! I assume it must feel incredible to finish the project up. The car looks so clean and so fresh I am pretty sure I wouldn't believe it was a '93 if I had no idea about cars. What an incredible job! Love it! You are right. The restoration content is literally a fresh breath of life in today's unrealistic world. Among the super car stuff there's of course our very own Shmee, I love his content because he's so genuine and the experience is great. But then, otherwise, KZread is just filled with a lot of that content. I've been watching the channel for a long time now, and despite being a huge fan of the reviews, the restoration content was really a GREAT direction to take. I still enjoy the reviews, but the passion that I get to see when you restore this machines makes it all the more enjoyable, besides the extreme depth in restoration, of course. I look forward to see the 240SX up and running too! Cheers, Kyle :)

Super nice job. You upgraded the vehicle significantly yet it still looks basically stock, retains the character of the original. 4.3’s sound like UPS trucks, coarse and unrefined. Your mods makes it sound more like an expensive machine. This will be a reliable vehicle for as long as you want it to be. Well done!

Man I wish I had the money to restore my 91' Bravada Pretty much the same vehicle just red with the black leather interior (And AWD) Learned how to drive in one of these. They don't make them like they used to, can't get anything quite like these old S-10's anymore. They may be old, they may lack safety features, but even if you leave it sit for a while it'll still start right up and take you where you need to go like it's nothing. Pushing 30 years, these things will last forever (As long as you don't let the rust get to them lol) It's great to see someone bring one of these back to its glory. Great work Kyle, keep that thing clean and running for all of us who aren't fortunate enough to keep ours!

Such an amazing project. I always had an appreciation for the older square body jimmy's. However my favorite suv's are the Explorers. The amount of work that went into this was amazing. People always wanna harp on how people pay people to do a job on a vehicle but a lot of the things that were done on your Jimmy takes a lot of skill and know how to do that I wouldn't have expected you to do. But given that this was your first project car (or was it the 240) either way you still did a lot of work yourself that most people would never attempt to do themselves.

This video actually makes me cry and truly makes me wish I had NEVER sold my 1993 Jimmy. It was exactly like your finished one. It was SLT, Forest Green, and even had the same kind of bug deflector on the hood. The only difference is mine had the spare tire rack on the back. Without the sound system upgrade this would match perfectly. I miss that little Jimmy of mine. This makes me miss it more. Great job.
