All of iGCSE Percentages Calculations in 50 Minutes!
LINK TO POWERPOINT: docs.google.com/presentation/...
This video tutorial is for students taking the iGCSE Exam, who want to learn all of the percentage calculations in fifty minutes. The video will start with a quick overview of the basics of percentages, including how to calculate them, and then move on to more complex calculations such as percentages of amounts and comparison percentages. We'll also cover how to convert from one percentage to another. Throughout the entire tutorial, we'll use quick, easy tips and tricks, so you understand and remember the main concepts. By the end of the video, you'll be able to tackle any calculation related to percentages with ease.

is it possible to use any other method to calculate percentages, where i ve got a special one in which you just cross multiply the denominators to the numerators to find out x (certain value) and its exactly the same answer although im worried if it classifies as nfww (some call it the ratio method)

Hello Sir. Hope you are well. So im writing my 0580 maths in Oct/Nov this year and I need to complete the syllabus what shall I do? And for any percentage qs we have to 100percent all the time into our calculations right? Just how you didthe 1st qs so basically if it said 6 percent instead of 2 percent you would do 100percent + 6 percent = 106percent right and then you would carry on.

22:14 if asking why we did not use P(1+R%)^n its because look at question 500 is put into account every year so the is a change But is everything was constant no change in price or rate% used we use the P(1+R%)^n method 😊 but is price changes or rate changes ,( like yr 1 is 2% then yr2 becomes 3%) we use the method sir used that what i think 😅
@GingerMathematician
Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your message and explanation! You are correct that if there are changes in the interest rate or price over time, it may not be appropriate to use the formula P(1+R%)^n to calculate the value of an investment. This formula assumes that the interest rate and principal remain constant throughout the investment period. If there are changes in the interest rate or price, then a more appropriate method would be to use the method shown in the video where the interest rate or price is calculated separately for each year and then added together to find the total value of the investment. It's important to carefully read the question and understand the context in order to determine which method is appropriate to use. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and explaining this concept further!

can you please help me answer this question? a) Here are the ingrideitns needed to make a pasta bake to serve 12 people. 250 g butter 600 g pasta 460 g mushrooms 280 g cheese 800 ml milk Monica has 2.2 litres of milk and 1.5 kg of each other ingridient. Calculate the greatest number of people she can serve with pasta bake.
@GingerMathematician
9 ай бұрын
Certainly! To calculate the greatest number of people Monica can serve with pasta bake, we need to determine which ingredient will run out first since the serving size is limited by the ingredient with the smallest quantity. Let's calculate it step by step: Calculate the number of servings each ingredient can provide: Butter: 1 serving = 250 g Pasta: 1 serving = 600 g Mushrooms: 1 serving = 460 g Cheese: 1 serving = 280 g Milk: 1 serving = 800 ml (which is equivalent to 0.8 liters) Next, determine how many servings Monica can make with the quantity of each ingredient she has: Milk: Monica has 2.2 liters of milk, so she can make 2.2 / 0.8 = 2.75 servings of pasta bake using milk. Now, let's calculate the number of servings Monica can make with the other ingredients: Butter: She has 1.5 kg, which is 1500 g. So, she can make 1500 / 250 = 6 servings with butter. Pasta: She has 1.5 kg, which is 1500 g. So, she can make 1500 / 600 = 2.5 servings with pasta. Mushrooms: She has 1.5 kg, which is 1500 g. So, she can make 1500 / 460 ≈ 3.26 servings with mushrooms. Cheese: She has 1.5 kg, which is 1500 g. So, she can make 1500 / 280 ≈ 5.36 servings with cheese. Now, we need to find the smallest number of servings from all the ingredients. In this case, it's 2.5 servings from pasta. So, Monica can serve a maximum of 2.5 servings with pasta bake because the pasta ingredient will run out first. So 12 x 2.5 = 30 people
