Pretty unreal that you can fit a guy's losses into one 13 minute video. Cael is a class act and one of the best to ever do it!

We know the title can sound a little click-baity but the real message here is Cael’s ability to improve and shine a light on his freestyle career.

Man this is wrestling nerd gold! Thanks for the content brother, you are killing it!
Justin Abdou was one of my college coaches. I was wrestling for him when he beat Sanderson. I believe it was at the Sunkist Kids tourney in Tempe. He was "retired" after Sydney and he hadn't been training hard that whole season- this was from my own observations being in the room with him daily- he rolled with some people but he was retired. He went to Tempe purely as a coach, and decided to compete at the last minute, if memory serves me correctly. He came back with a big grin saying he really took it to Cael... something like 7-6. Thanks for mentioning him- one of the toughest dudes you'll meet and a fellow 4-timer (NAIA) with Cael.

Also a big wrestling fan.....watched Cael wrestle since he was in the 10th grade. Also saw him lose at the Reno T of C when he was in the 11th grade. But I must say, everyone could see he was something special.....win or lose. Saw Gutches beat him in Reno when he was 20. This vid was incredibly well done.....smooth, informative and fun. Thnx
The fact that Cael even had a red shirt freshman season surprises some people. He did have a loss his genuine freshman year. The technicality that Paul Jenn was a transfer from a community college doesn't matter. Jenn felt that Cael was weak on his feet and he could easily take him down and he did just that multiple times to win the match. This made Sanderson work even harder on his counters and in their next match a year later Cael dominated so heavily that Paul Jenn was disqualified for stalling (13-1 when ended). Great video!!!
Good video! Do a video on Lincoln Mcilravy. Iowa hawkeye's winingest wrestler. 4xAA 4X finalist, 3x champ, was a 5x state champ in HS. 2000 Olympic bronze medalist.

I have a feeling that by the time Cael is done, his renown as a coach will overshadow that as a wrestler. I have coached for 40 years, and don't watch much NCAA wrestling. When I do, it's the finals. Every time I watch, Penn State's wrestlers' style, speed, and tactics scream good coaching....let alone the actual results.
Outstanding

Legendary.
I wish we had more video of Hodge
Is that Joel Romero in the thumbnail??
Les Guthes, don't hear that name enough.. Did Cael ever avenge that one??
Did he not lose to Zach Stalder in Greco? Someone please clarify this for me
should do a kyven gadsen championship video
My post keeps getting deleted. Unsure why. I will try again. Cael lost to Paul Jenn (RIP) from Britt, Iowa, who wrestled for the Iowa Hawkeyes. He wrestled unattached, so it didn’t “officially count”, but he did lose to him nonetheless. Cael did avenge the loss later in college.
I was in school the same time as cal. I wrestled and placed in states. Everyone always talked about cal.
So glad they changed the scoring
Bones does have a dq loss. People say it shouldnt count, but he should have gotten DQ'd for his lionheart fight.

A sit down interview Bael Sanderson about the "Hard Questions" on leaving Ia State
People try to compare Kyle Dake to a great wrestler like Cael Sanderson! It's disgusting! Dake ducked 5 guys over 3 seasons to win NCAA titles. Yianni Diakomihalis wrestled whoever came his way. Cael Sanderson never gained weight or sucked weight to avoid anyone. Pat Smith, Spencer Lee and Logan Stieber would have wrestled any weight their team needed them to! Legends!!!! GODS!!!!!! MONSTERS~~~~!!!!

Dake bumped up a weight to beat David Taylor
I remember that the reason Cael skipped the 2021 Worlds is because it was postponed and due to this it either occurred during the NCAA season or close enough he opted to not go. He was going to compete when it was to occur in Sept in New York City. Of course 911 occurred and then the postponed world championships. MT guy Gutches went and got a silver that year.

No way i did t know abber had a win over cael, justin abdou is a great man, and a awesome wrestling coach
All of his losses fit in 13 minutes. Still the smartest wrestler to ever take the mat. All mine st in 30 seconds. It goes like this. Who’s That guy. Does he even have the balls to hit the mat with even one of these guys? I don’t know ask him. Yeah he says hell no. 30 seconds is up. Lol
The way they scored wresting in these matches was a joke. So glad they changed the points. A guy takes another down 3x1 plus and escapes and they get the same points
Don’t forget about Vertis Jones!
who knows about cael's overtime folkstyle match...
8:33 is that Chris Rose from Jomboy media?!?
Freestyle wrestling always has such stupid rules. Even now, every match has 2 challenges, ref is involved too much. It’s crazy how it was even worse back then.
Lee Fullhart now works for Homeland Security after working for Border Patrol. Although Cael using his agenda to create an awesome wrestling inspiration is awesome, You have to give props to Lee for going from one amazing thing straight to another. He’s a very stand up guy

Jones is not undefeated he fucked up, with intentional foul play. That dq is legit.
Dan gable who many considered one of the greatest wrestlers ever won the gold medal in 1972 but why wasn't he in the 1976 Olympics because he lost to Lee Kemp in freestyle and then Wade Schalles beat Lee Kemp very easily. Also, I think Dan Gable lost to Bobby Douglas years before that in freestyle wrestling. Why is this never noted
Bones shouldn’t have a loss but he does to Matt hamil. He threw ‘12-6’ elbows which were illegal. He was DQ’d

Bones lost a fight
freestyle rules were so ducked up back t hen
Up 2-0 and go to OT, illegal.
Sooo many stupid freestyle rules through the years. I thought the most ridiculous was the leg clinch for a tiebreaker. They holding the clinch almost always won
All this guys look like gigachads is all I know
That Les Gutches loss was BS because it was Les.
