And that he wants to keep his integrity until that day. Here he gives us a vision of that, integrated with the struggles of the past while looking at the hope of the future. I just have no words for this powerful piece of art. Tirallala. Always such a great pleasure to read your backstories and insights on Dimash's songs and interpretations. I cried the first I watched this, I did so without subtitles or background; it's so beautiful, and because of the visuals I understood the meanings. Then I watched with subtitles and the words, even if they are not totally accurate, broke my heart but then mended it again. I didn't immediately recognise the 'old man', but when he walks to the seat and briefly touches the back of the seat in front... I would recognise those beautiful, long-fingered elegant hands anywhere!!! What a wonderful collaboration with Renat, Erlan and Talant Aryngali!!!!!! I would love to be able to contact people in his team just to tell them how awesome I think they all are. Erlan, back up singers, and his awesome musicians. They all help to make Dimas’s performances epic. He deserves the best supports and he has certainly got them. I tried leaving a message for the band on Jordan’s Instagram but doubt that she saw it as she has so many comments so if you have a contact email I would love it

Every note, every lyric, every instrument, every breath, texture and color of Dimash’s vocals were all beautifully thought out and executed! It’s most certainly a masterpiece! In the video when it shows Dimash young and performing from above and then later he’s older and sitting where the audience sits reminds of Dimash always saying how important it is for him to always stay grounded and humble and to never get what he refers to as “star headed” because he says that someday he will be part of that audience and that when that day comes he wants to be able to look each person that sits around him in the eye! I wonder if Dimash ask for that part to be added to the video! Dimash is not only a vocal & musical genius, he is the epitome of an incredible role model & he is wise beyond his years!

Dimash is just a different breed. He puts importance on character, love of family and country, etc. he appears to be a "Pure" soul. Even when very young in. videos he spoke of great thinkers, philosophers, and could quote many of them. I don't know any young boys that could do that. He took us into his library in his home filled with many great works" and said", I have read them all". He has talked of visiting some of his previous classes in his university just to sit in the back of the room and listen to the stories of what he called, "great thinkers and philosophers to steady his soul." He is truly a different breed. If angels walk among us he may very well be one. An aside: When asked why he doesn't smoke or drink he responded, "It would show disrespect to those that raised me and I could never, never do that."

Actually the song was first sung in DDS concert in January. This MV was later ordered by a Khabar TV for their Independence Day.

His sound engineer and who do his arrangements is his friend, and brother ( as his calls him) , Erlan Bekchurin., Kazakh as well. He was working first with Dimash's parents and knows Dimash since his teens years. His wife, Jordan, is one of Dimash's back up singers. He is amazing. The string instrument is Kazakh and it is called Kobiz. It is the same one used on Stranger, Samaltau and Qairan Elim. The kobiz player works with Dimash in his tours, his name is Olshas Kurmanbek. Fabulous.

Its historical Legend says that it speaks the language of the Steppe. Animals, wolf calls and more. This instrument is hollowed out in its barrel. Go back and watch "Stranger" again. The man playing it is Master in that Art. I believe his name was Olzakz Kurmanbek . The spelling may be incorrect.

The instrument at the end was a khobyz, a kazakh traditional instrument with two strings, which is the mother of all string instruments. It`s used for spiritual music in general and Dimash loves to participate this instrument in a lot of his songs like in Samaltau, Stranger, Quairan elim, Amanat. It gives his songs this typical kazakh but also spiritual and deep sound. It`s really special. I like this song very much.

This was composed some years ago and put on the shelf until Renat Gaisin found someone who could give the emotion that was needed for it... that was Dimash. Then they found a poet to put the lyrics to the music -Talant Aryngali. Then Dimash and his team made this video and released it on Kazakhstan's independence day. It is about the transience of life, and to always do your best so that at the end of your life you will rejoice and not regret it and then you will pass on to the beyond. Thank you for your thoughts and reaction. I was in tears and could not speak about this for the 1st three times that I saw & heard it. So emotional and wise.
