I was in the powersports business for 10 years and know how safety conscious you have to be while representing these machines and I don't fault you for doing it in the video but I wonder how many people put on their helmet to drive across the yard. Thanks for taking the time to review this machine. Looks like a winner.

Great vid. I just returned from Nfld where my young fella and I trekked over 1200kms crossing the Rock in our RMax. It was amazing. So it's all about getting out there, whatever machine you own. One thing I noticed, the Commander's seats look closer together and no armrest and center console like in the RMax. The console and armrest were used 100% of the time we were in it.

Current RZR xp 4 1000 owner, might considering switching to either the Commander, General, or Rmax if either end up with the enclosed cab and A/C like the Ranger or Defender.

Have a RZR XP1K. Thinking of switching to something a little more versatile with a nicer interior. RMAX, General XP, or Commander would fit the bill, but don’t want to give up too much performance of the RZR. Which of the three has the best high-speed performance?

Great video and machine! I can't believe for 20k, CanAm can't give the customer a nice LED headlight that matches the signature and provides better lighting for night rides.

Hey guys love watching your stuff, what is the drivers leg room and more importantly the throttle location like in the XT? My dad suddenly passed away, and I inherited his brand new Wolverine r-spec love the machine, but I’m a big framed guy and wear size 16 boots, so I find I’m getting a lot of ankle fatigue and just uncomfortable on medium length rides, I primarily used it for hunting, but want to try and get out more with it in the off season. Just ordered a pedal extension from a company out of Utah called “Throttle Max” to see if that will help, but also considering looking for something else, which is a shame because I really do like the machine.

At first I didn’t like the look of the new commanders and favored the original look. BUT after looking at the new xmr commander it started quickly growing on me as that thing is sexy. And now I find myself really liking them, especially this one . We have begun talking about upgrading our Maverick trail 1000 DPS in the distant future . I really wish it had the 1000R hp output . The trail is just TO LOW to the ground and snags everything . 3” shock spacer lift and 30” tires very soon on the way . Overall I’m quickly liking can am more and more as they make a few more quality improvements. Doors and door latches especially and the rough cvt engagement. I don’t know why everyone can’t take notes from Yamaha . The ultramatic is hands down bar none the best cvt on the market .

Me too I'm pretty undecided. I was going to get a General earlier this year but with the way everything has been, I haven't been able to get one. I currently own a 2013 commander and have really liked it.

We've only had our unit for a very short time, but build quality on the Can-Ams always seems to be very good.

Just put my ranger xp1000 up for sale plan on buying the can am commander xt1000 in the future .

I am looking at putting a down-payment on a commander xt 700. Anyone have experience with the new 700 model? I want a 1000 but it's out of my budget

I wish Can Am would put a Center council in there machines like the Sport and the Commander. I have one in my X 2 and it feels like I’m driving my truck my right arm is always rested it makes a big difference. Some people I know bought the new commander with a full cab inclosure and there biggest complaint was the heat coming up from the gear shifter lots of heat they said but the machine it’s self they said is great other than the heat . To bad I thought Can Am had that problem solved.

Y’all need to test the new commander XMR ask fast as you can

It is a really good machine. We just got a 4-seater and will put it through its paces to see if there's anything more we can add.

Great review of the 1000. The new for 2022 Commander 700 is thousands cheaper but no one has done a review of it to see if the smaller engine is adequate or better yet see if the towing and hauling capacities are the same. If it only loses a few km from the top speed I'd go for one over a Defender HD 9.

Waiting for a review of the 700 as well. The new HD7 (650cc) motor is rated @ 52 hp, so I wonder how that, combined with the PDrive clutch will translate to real world performance?

Absolutely. Hoping we can get a turn in the Electric Ranger as soon as it is available. The RMAX is really nice. This Commander is a gorgeous looking machine. Really took me by surprise the first time I saw it in person.

First you put on your helmet ! - at home 50ft. trip -- then you looked over your shoulder as you backed up - not the mirrors -- so i turned it off --
