@@ShiftIntoGear. Im Chinese in Australia, this car is called song plus in China and sold for around 30k AUD 😂, and they got next gen to be launched this year, with next gen hybrid tech, 46.6% efficiency hybrid engine and 2000km on a 65L fuel tank😊

@@jblake6145 Really 30k, wow 😮 I wish it was 30k here lol 😂 that status are unbelievable, they have come a long way, no wonder they’re selling like crazy everywhere.
The highlight of this car is DMi technology, although it's one generation behind the current DMi-5 in China but still the best Plug-in hybrid in Australia.

Agreed 👍
Went in to BYD yesterday the interior and exterior are amazing , back seat so comfortable only con is if you are large dog owner I don’t think dog will fit in the trunk without pulling down the back seat.

I know we were so surprised when we sat in one, so much to take in. That i never thought of, it would have to be a decent size, because the boot space isn’t too bad.
Thank you for reviewing my next car, guys. Very very nice job, BYD.

Hey Jeppo, Appreciate the great feedback champion 👍 The vehicle ticks so many boxes that you can’t really fault it. Are you thinking of getting a hybrid ?

Thank you Raymond 😊, appreciate it
Thanks for explaining distance quotes r with full tank . it says the sealion has a 13 gallon tank so the trip could be a average 45 mpg (impressive if true when you consider the weight being pulled along ) plus the plug in power say another 40 miles = 660 miles on a tank full without a recharge. TRY the Newcastle to Melbourne trip or visa versa without a fuel stop or recharge .

That’s actually pretty interesting facts there, good to know tho, that’s actually not a bad idea from new castle, even a drive to Brisbane would be a good drive. I’ll let you know when we do that.
get holdof sealion 07 even better and in ev format

That is a must, we enjoying so the reviews on the EV cars, they seem to get better and better. Thanks for the information 😊
It would be perfect if it had a space saver tire
@ShiftIntoGear.
23 күн бұрын
Good point, at least a space saver. But where would they put it 🤔
Explain a 1000 k of distance please. Cos I do a simple 1 gallon of petrol from empty and a charged battery combined . Leave in town , go round town and eventually hit the highway . Sooner or later it will run out of battery and petrol . This is a everyday real world distance example. I will hazard a guess of just over a 100 kilometres . Please reply.

That’s actually a good point, when I first saw this vehicle and we had a good chat with the dealer ship who presented us with this vehicle to review, they advised us that there workers where getting 1000km on this with a full tank and full charge, and we couldn’t believe it. After a few hours of driving it, it didn’t really waste much, and I have people who swear by it, that it saves them money. I think we need to do a review of how far and how long a full tank and charge can get 😂. Thank you for commenting and watching.

At 7:42 you said it is the only seat trim in this model. There is also a Blue / Grey trim for the Premium as well

@@stevennguyen2401 I would be choosing the blue / grey interior unless you opt for the black exterior paint option. You will have to wait a couple of months for the blue /grey interior though, as they have started manufacturing this interior colour this month.

Can you use the vehicle as a backup generator with its V2L capacity? Ie does the engine turn on when there is a low state of charge to recharge the battery while there is a load on the system?

You know what that’s actually a really good question, never had to really think of using it like that, but what I’ll do is ask a friend who is actually is an auto electrician, I might have to flick him a text to be honest.
I think everyone has the same question, how will they fair after 150 - 250 k km,s ( 5 - 10 years ) of use ?
