Love the videos. Would putting grosgrain ribbon on the opening for your zipper, help withe the rippled effect of the zipper. When sewing zippers to a stretchy material, I have to make sure the fabric does not stretch, as the zipper will not and cause waves. Just a thought. But the sweater is beautiful

I appreciate that professional knitters such as yourself also have dozens of projects going at once. It makes me feel very validated in my project variety and trust that things will get done, and even if they don't it's just important that they gave me joy while I worked on them! 💙

My mom os 100% a monogamous knitter. To top that, she never tinks, never froggs, never makes more than a quarter row mistake she might have to remake. I, on the other hand, have 4 or so projects at a time. I have frogged, tinke, cut, kitchener a whole top to bottom, a car project (socks), etc. We r all different, but we love the art!😍

I love the rose water pink colors, sometimes it’s called millennial pink in the US ( soft muted pink with warm brown undertones, not the older dusty rose kind of vintage pink, a bit more modern but still very soft and feminine. It’s so amazing that you can enjoy summer knitting there outside by the water.

If I get a choice, I'm a monogamous knitter- having multiple projects running stresses me out! I just finished a period of multiple projects, and it is SUCH a relief to be back to just one! (Well, two if you count the one that I can't work on until I figure out the ran-out-of-a-limited-run-color issue.) I don't know how you manage to keep them all straight, and, more importantly, get them all DONE. Goodness knows, I end up adding SO MUCH TIME to all of my projects, especially the larger ones, when I do. Regardless, my current project is a prayer shawl with a lace border that will be going to my aunt to help get her through her battle with cancer. It's a very lovely shawl... and I've been working on it since June, in no small part because I've had multiple other projects to work on instead of focusing on it.

I always have several projects on the go. Always a patch based blanket or throw, always at least one sweater or cardigan and then various small projects. At the moment they are a scarf for my husband (first item he's ever asked for) but I've run out of yarn and am awaiting new stock, and a soft toy for my cousin's baby. Toys are fun to make and always good for a bit of variety. BTW I like your "failure" very much. I would remove the zip and knit a constrasting placket to make it a button up sweater.

Love your projects. I too get into a cast-on, start moods and the WIPs then remain idle and I can too frequently forget what size needles or my original idea. I found that if I put them in a project bag there is more of a chance that they continue. I hardly ever use-patterns from others most are all originals. So buy yourself a bunch of inexpensive canvas bags.

I thought I was the only one that had a lot of projects going at once. I am working on an Irish Lace knit blouse, a crocheted skirt, a bathing suit, a reproduction of a dress from the 1700's, another Irish lace purse and hat; I am like you. I buy 10 to 20 skeins of yarn at a time and store it all in plastic storage containers that weigh 30 pounds each. Ideas for different projects keep occurring to me. My husband to be told me that if we ever separate, he will give me full custody of all the yarn in the house. Haha

The Lola top looks great- can't wait for the pattern. I only really started knitting again in March (and I was pretty much just a scarf person prior to that point!). I have 3 projects on the go currently. The first I started in March, and is a complicated aran cable cardigan. I've completed the back, which was just moss stitch, but now the front of the cardigan is multiple cables and takes much longer. I can only work on it when I am really awake! The next is the Sunday Brunch Sweater in Drops Wish Sea Green. It's so soft and quick to knit up. I just have the sleeves and collar to go, but I only have 3 skeins left and am worried I will run out. The third project I started last week and is the Ooh Lala top. I'm making it in Drops Safran in colour Lavender, but I've only finished about 10cm of the body so far as I'm quite slow.

I'm a sort of monogamous knitter, because I like to finished projects. If I have too many things going on at the same time I'm afraid nothing would get finished and I will lose interest. But there are exceptions, like when I knit a sweater on very fine needles... Then I usually knit one to two smaller projects in between, just to get something finished before continuing on the larger project. But I do plan several new projects at the same time, dream and ponder on how I want it to look like. Currently I'm knitting on a bunad shawl (almost done), and I am also working on finally finishing a two year old pullover, before I start on a new one that is waiting for me :D I really liked the fun colors of your zipper sweater.

My ‘project’ is to learn to knit continental instead of English. I don’t even do that by throwing the yarn with my index finger, I move my whole hand. I’ve wanted to learn continental to knit faster. (I learned at maybe 7 hrs old how to knit like I do now and I’m almost 67!) I have not knit loads over the years but have gotten excited about it lately. As I have searched You-tube I found the Norwegian style and OH MY GOODNESS, it has clicked with me! The whole trick being not weaving the yarn thru fingers, just holding finger flat along the left needle and picking from there. (That weaving the yarn through my fingers is why I could never do it previously) I’m so excited..it has been tricky to learn the purl because I was twisting it and it took me about 3 hours to figure what I was doing wrong. Now I’m just practicing to get my tension where I like it. I enjoy your channel so much and I am inspired to really get going soon on a solid project only knit my new found way.

Beautiful works in progress! Thank you for sharing. Here is my tip when working with multiple strands of yarn held together: cake them up! Create a new "ball" with all the strands combined. This reduces the knots and time wasted untangling the mess! It might be a little more prep time but it definitely makes the knitting or chrocheting portion of the project a lot more pleasant :)

You were able to do so much crochet in one day, incredible! Even after a few years now I still feel so slow 😅

I started the DingleyDell tee by Isobel Kraemer, have to block and seam hubby's cardigan, see the pieces of a Tunisian blanket together and finish a crocheted bag. So, yeah, I have a few things on the go, but also have a dress design in mind for my granddaughters. 😁

It's so funny, I usually finish a sewing project but something happens when I knit or crochet, I get restless and end up with so many projects Ive forgotten where I was with them and mañana, mañana 🙄😂

Your knitting is just beautiful. I love that brioche sweater; perhaps changing the zipper to a soft colour will make it less noticeable and you will wear it all the time! And I love hand stitching in zippers (which I've done on sewing projects very successfully) when I'm dealing with slippery material.

Thank you for this video. So I am not the only person with multiple projects.. At this time I am knitting a sweater in ice blue with White, and crochetting a Baby blanket, a knitted cardigan that is on hold because I have to figger out the pattern ...🤔 my shawls are ready... in the meantime I love to watch your videos and get so many ideas for making...

Love your videos! I'm currently working on camisole n5, trying to figure out the double knitted edges as I have never done them before. I just finished a drops top that had a fun lace pattern on the front, and started a granny squares top, and I have two sweaters on hold, waiting for fall and cooler temperatures to work on them. Those are all my works in progress but for me its already too much, I usually modify the original patterns to suit me and if I have more WIPs all the numbers in my head mix

Just a suggestion about multiple yarns (use small bags for each skein 😍)

Love the colour of the pink cardigan you're working on! Currently I have two wips: a white/purple/pink Oslo hat mohair edition by PetiteKnit and a yellow cumulus tee by PetiteKnit. 😊

I am trying to be mostly a monogamous knitter, but I know what I knit next! I am working now on a cumulus tee and I have a pair of sock for when I am in the train (U bahn as I am living in Munich , Germany;-) ) but I have all the yarn for the June camisole an other cumulus tee, a sunday sweater that are the next on my list.... But I try to bbe strict and have on the needle only one project and a pair of sock at the time to finish them.....

Ha e been binge watching your vids since KZread recommended your channel to me. Love that you're also knitting in 100% cotton. I feel that in some parts of the knitting community there's a certain snobbery around cotton not being a "good" choice
