Yeah!, The writers didn't have to worry about continuity whilst playing around with animating random stuff on screen. This episode was probably very fun to animate!

I noticed two mistakes that were missed: 1. Jon’s beard disappears when Garfield takes the sheet off of him. 2. Garfield is suddenly outside of the house when he offers Odie a snack.

Garfield's moving mouth became a trend.

It started with the live action movies

Another mistake that was missed is the fact the "Rhinoceros" sound they used was actually that of a cow. Look up rhino sounds and you'll understand as to why this is another intentional mistake in the episode.

you have to wonder how much of the crew knew the gimmick of this episode. the animators obviously knew, but the voice actors could have easily been left in the dark until close to the end of production. even the writers and storyboarders may have come up with this episode without the gimmick and added the cues for the mistakes afterwards on a whim

I like to think the animators knew about the gimmick of the episode and just decided to go wild with not much continuity, this could explain why they added a whole buddy bears scene which couldn't be done on a whim, but I obviously never worked on the show so I wouldn't know!.

Garfields been a very bad dog lately. I'm gonna teach him a lesson she'll never forget.

He thought "I'm hungry" once. He's barked and Garfield has translated as well. But unless we're going by The Garfield Show rules, cats and dogs don't talk. Garfield doesn't even talk in Garfield and Friends. Which makes this so much more weird. Edit: Except in this episode once didn't see that part yet

You forgot the scene when Odie is replaced by a dog resembling Marmaduke and Garfield saying that it's 10:00 AM, time for a midnight snack.

Thanks for pointing that out, after watching the video I noticed a few that I missed including that one!. The total is closer to somewhere around 117-120 but it took me way too long to cut up the video for copyright stuff, I had to reupload it 3 times!.

Garfield predicted Cinemasins.

the three mistakes garf pointed out, plus the actual mistakes(counting the ones missed), all lead to ≈116 mistakes

0:37 - Garfield's fish is gone (unless the reason for this was cut out) 0:55 - Jon's wearing shorts instead of pants now 1:45 - Frog just disappears (once again, this could be explained if you just cut out the reason for it not being there anymore) 2:20 - Garfield was in the building, now he's out

Someone finally did it! I've been thinking to myself for 30 years or so now that I wonder how many actual "mistakes" there are. Thank you for this!

I wouldn't call the police using Lorenzo Music's voice being a mistake. Perhaps the policeman was meant to be voiced by him.

114 mistakes. The animators were on something S T R O N K when making this one.

I can't tell if this episode was made with less effort or more effort than most episodes in this show.

I would consider that a goofy gag rather than a continuity error or dialogue-based mistake.

You missed one, maybe two, POSSIBLY three mistakes- depends how you count them. Odie comments that there were more than 3 mistakes in the episode, and Garfield says he’s wrong. And Odie insists there’s more, to which Garfield firmly denies any more mistakes being in the episode. Depends if you’d count Odie doubling down on there being more than 3 mistakes as one or two mistakes. And then Garfield saying it’s 10 AM, and then saying that makes it time for a midnight snack. But with how much Garfield eats and twists logic for a meal, that one might be intentional.

Funnily enough I found two mistakes that are actually real errors, lol!. Between 1:15 and 1:16 check the pinetree in the up-right side that is white in a frame and then green in the next. And the other one is at 1:45, the frog just disappear from one frame to another. 😂

There are some mistakes when the Buddy Bears sing: When Billy says "Each day we do a little dance, and sing a little song", all the buddy bears are shown moving their mouths. I don't know if it counts as a mistake, but also Billy is shown singing the verse "If you ever disagree, it means that you are wrong" despite Bertie always being the one singing that verse of the song.

Great video, I actually missed some of the mistakes. But you missed one mistake in the episode itself. The eyeholes go missing again when the sheet lands back on Jon.

Some things I'm not sure can really count as mistakes, like the door appearing in the middle of the woods, since the characters intersct with it. I suppose you could say the mistake is they forgot to draw the house.

1. When a mistake shows up, it going away becomes the mistake, because if it was explained or expanded upon later it would make sense. 2. That picture is from the episode title card, and funny images like that show up on them all the time. Thanks for the suggestions though!

You forgot to mention some mistakes 0:09 Garfield's head on Odie's body 0:56- Jon has no pants 1:25- a plastic cup is used instead of a speaker 1:54- the criminal wears a bowler hat and a monocle 2:14- there is a room inside the tree 2:19- yeah, you pointed out 2:26- Garfield points out this is not a mistake, he always a carries a lot of food 2:21 - Garfield went out of the cave on the other side of the screen 2:38- Actually the screen is upside down 3:04- multiple hands 3:17- A trap door and a basement 3:23- Garfield said to the criminal, "Let's resume" 3:39- the wolf barks like a dog 3:48- The "Rhinoceros" sounds like a cow 3:50 the blanbket reached jon fro ma miles away So it's 129 mistakes…(with marmaduke in last scene)… Make that 130 mistakes

I Think they took "Mistake will Happen" too Literally. I Think the Animators and Producers went "Eeeeh, FUCK IT! let's Fuck Around and be Creative without Strings Attached for once"!

I don’t think there's supposed to be a tin can as a radio mic in a police car, if that counts as a mistake. Also, a cow is heard, but Garfield calls it a rhinoceros. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, there were at least three more mistakes at the very end of the cartoon when Garfield says, "Come on, boy, it's 10 AM. Time for a midnight snack." 1. I don’t know if there's a midnight snack at 10 AM. 2. There was a big dog following Garfield. 3. The big dog's barking is heard. I don't know if you wanted to add those mistakes, but I just wanted to throw them out there. I enjoy this cartoon. There's always a possibility that I even missed some.
