Fr, I only see lists where things like imp staff are in D tier and flinch staff in F tier because "they do low dps" they aren't supposed to deal 2k dps at that point of the progression

The sanguine staff is my favorite minion summon, just because I like how cool having a bunch of glowing bats is

Well made, straight to the point, and very informative. Honestly a good video on showcasing Minions and information on how each one can be utilized!

No matter what, the videos look really well made tbh. It's satisfying to watch these videos

Finch is better than you think. Prehardmode summons share frames with the same type of summon, unlike hardmode where it is all individual (except for 3+ spiders) This means 2 finches and 2 flinx has better dps than 4 flinx because the 4 flinx interrupt each other's attacks So if you can get a frog, slime, finch, and flinx then summon 1 of each you are very powerful prehardmode. Edit: C isn't bad for pirate staff but it should be mentioned it is probably summoner's best option for destroyer pre-plantera (unless you get terraprisma) and even does well against golem compared to other available summons if you happen to get it. (Again, except for difficult to obtain summons like tiger and terraprisma)

Very nice explained with an easy format, with aria math included. I'm your biggest fan right now.

You should do a whip tier list next. This video is relatively short but informative and straight to the point.

A good point for the abigail summon is since she tries to stay behind the character you can actually put ur back up to a wall and she will attack enemies on the other side of the wall (for ppl who may not wanna re-cast their summons outside of a wall over and over)

I think devs completely killed the Sanguine Staff. It is extremly slow compared to what it used to be. It was one of my favourite summoner weapons.

Once you did the pumpkin moon Abigail actually provides decent base damage, and you can test it's dps on dummies which is really cool

Im so glad to see the flinx staff get some recognition. Although it doesn’t do super high damage, it attacks really quickly and sticks to the enemies very well, allowing it to do good consistent damage to all kinds of enemies. Some of the early game projectile minions may miss a lot of their damage, and I think the flinx are better than them against enemies that move a lot.

Nice tier list ! I just think deadly sphere should be in A but it's ok

When i first played terraria i liked Eye of Cthulhu, it was my first boss and i tried crafting it, I wasnt regretting it, it was the best staff, When i killed empress of light, i used the Terraprisma and the optic staff will still be my favourite. I gave it to a friend who also liked Eye of Cthulhu, he was surprised, And the optic staff will still be in my heart forever

I feel like spider staff is so bad. If you don't have background walls then it is practically useless on mech bosses (with exception maybe destroyer but everything is created to bully destroyer). Because it's abtainable early I would it rate at B I also wasn't big fan of Finch staff (felt akward to use actually) but this is could be because I'm bad And finally sanguine staff was receiving nerf after nerf and probably now not so great as before Otherwise great tier list, agreed with everything else which surprised me

only issue i have is that the text can be too quick to read, otherwise it's great

idk if its the case anymore but stardust dragons used to hog up the immunityframes on moonlord eyes in multiplayer so no one else could do damage where the dragon sat. so dont use it with many people multiplayer or the fight will last so much longer

I have both stardust dragon and terraprisma and I still have no idea which I prefer or what is better. I usually end up just splitting my summon slots into halves, giving half the slots to dragon and the rest to prisma 😂

what is terraprisma better than stardust dragon at? i know you said dragon is preferable when facing moon lord, but should i use terraprisma for everything else?

Terrapisma is way too better for clearing mobs and bosses but kinda have poor initial detection range since it needs to first detect an enemy that isn't inside the walls so it can finally phase out from it and obliterate everything on its path fast. Not the best way for AFK farming by just locking urself inside SD has way better detection range and will attack everything on screen, phasing out. Best for boss clearing, but in terms of mob clearing, its not as good as Terraprisma's lighting fast attack I'd say Terrapisma is better in overall performance

As summoner main i like this but, a few things is missing: 1. the hornet minions inflict the poisen debuff for 4-7s. 2. the imps a re useless under water.

I agree mostly, imo tempest should be higher, sanguine should be lower, tiger should be lower

Nuh uh, Tiger is good and is the only Post-Plantera summon that can hold a candle to the Xeno Staff.

Bro I got a slime staff from one of the first slimes I killed in my first playthrough

I played with friends and we took it really really slow and really grinded out pre hardmode and did like a ton of stuff before entering hardmode. anyway I went summoner and the hornet staff sucks. I think it needs a slight buff or rework. My thought maybe a little less damage and make the wasps shoot homing projectiles or just make it so where it can hit stuff....

@FertileEnd The next minion/sentry hit after striking an enemy with the Firecracker causes an explosion that does 175% of the minion/sentry's damage to the enemy directly affected by it and 75% of that damage to the other enemies caught in the explosion.

my reccomended progression for summons pre boss: flinx staff pre hm: imp staff with vampire frog or hornet staff pre mech: sanguin or blade staff pre plantera: raven combinated with desert tiger if got the key pre golem: xeno staff or terraprisma if ur good enough to get it pre moonloord: stardust dragon or terraprisma

Xeno is post Golem. I'd also suggest Optic instead of Sanguine for Plantera. It no longer suffers from constant issue, and so the damage output is higher than Sanguine. Sanguine by the way got nerfed through a bug fix that cripples it's damage in medium-close range, plus there're now actual competitions post Plantera like Raven, Deadly Sphere, etc

True, but not helpful from a realistic point of view. Shimmer is a little further in progression, given it's hidden in the depths of the outer sides of the world. If you got there, you probably had gear that far outshines the Flinch Staff.

I just hope Imp Staff's gets assigned to Local instead of Static in the future

Static I-frame minions have ridiculous DPS when mixed together. On the other hand, Frost Hydra *desperately* needs local I-frames.

Why is there minecraft music in a terrain background

overall i like the list and your videos are super well made but my opinions would be, terraprisma is b tier, in the context of the game there is no reason to get this weapon at all, - frog staff is also b tier, its way too difficult to get for how long you will use it for it to be A tier,i honestly think its harder to get than it is to beat BoC or EoW and get the imp staff, - abigails flower should be A tier, i think for most people Its the first Summon they will obtain since it doesn't require any exploring or anything like that and you will probably use it to get the Flinx staff making it pretty useful - xenostaff shouldn't be S tier, it falls into the problem with pretty much all the post golem pre cultist weapons, if you're strong enough to defeat a martian probe then you may as well just skip it and fight cultist and get the pillar weapons (buff relogic please buff cultist) - same goes for the raven staff -sanguine staff is on the verge for me because I think that the mechs are a fair bit easier than dreadnautilus which makes it only the best staff for one boss and plantera i personally find is just a matter of how big your arena is if your struggling just make your arena bigger.

@eyhrrv6977 There is also the option of doing a wall of flesh and just making a massively long minecart track to kill her on. Or try and cap the amount of on screen entities with like a flare gun or something so then she can only melee attack you. Those are really the only time that I've beat daytime eol without much issue. The other times I've kind of just sent it with no prep and just learnt her attack patterns and whatever.
