I really don't understand why Dream Team wasn't as popular. It had some of the best music, most visually impressive locations, the most original gameplay, a great story, and tons of reoccurring characters as well as lovable new characters. It took all the good things from BIS and expanded upon it. The only argument I see about it a lot is that it has too many tutorials but really, how is that any different from the rest of the games?

Fawful will have fury on the 3DS as well...

I'll throw my opinion. Paper Jams story sucked, but the combat and gameplay was among the best in the series. That's what saved it for me.

Why Partners In Time is so underated? loved the story, and the ending was sad. Its my childhood 👦

I honestly didn't think that the Mario and Luigi rpg series died, I loved everyone one of them, (Considering for the fact I never finished the first 3 games in the series) but they were still good in my opinion. I mean sure paper jam lacked new characters but still the plot was decent, and it wasn't like save the princess and that's it, no it had some good jokes and (somewhat) a good plot. Dream Team was honestly a little better then paper jam by plot and regular bros attacks, although I never had enough fun playing Luigi's dream bros battle mechanics. They were honestly hard at times, were it became fast paced and it was just to frustrating.(I only mean the dream team attacks.) While paper jam, It felt timed and a little more balanced sometimes I do screw up, but not as much as dream team... Never finished bowsers inside story when I was five, but you know I was five.

JonIsFinally BackWithACoconutgun People are judging way too fast, that's all. It's like they consider the whole series are going downhill because of one bad game. I agree paper jam is the worst of them all, simply because I find a crossover of rpg mario and paper jam extremely lazy. No new characters, not a real new world or interesting villain other than bowser. Dream Team however was really good and demonstrated a whole new level when it came to character développement (principally luigi)

That's not how I felt. I felt it had perfect pacing. Not like Dream Team where everything takes WAAAY too long, or Superstar Saga where everything felt like it flew by too fast.

Superstar Saga may have went by fast but it was atleast fun and original. Paper Jam just felt like a generic Mario game with bits of humour

some parts of the Superstar Saga theme Remind me A lot of the Atlantica battle theme from Kingdom Hearts. not surprising given they share a composer.

For me this is the most heroic adventure of mario, he not only save the princess, he save 2 full kindoms for themselves, and save them for war between them at the same time

Dream team and paper jam deserve more praise. Look past nostalgia, people!

Bowser’s Inside Story will always be my favorite. I have so many memories of that game, I love the story, being able to play as Bowser, the music, characters, and I feel like the game had the best spritework out of all the other games.

Lehner82 I put it in last place because Dream Team had the gyroscope controls that sometimes malfunctions. And it had minigames that are too difficult to get an A Rank on. And the tutorials were the worst part. But other than that, it was a great game.

I agree with your list but I find paper jam to be the worst. It was so generic and lacked creativity which partners in time had. It bothers me that a lot of people don’t like partners in time

I have never played bowsers inside story before. And what makes it great for me is I got pretty lucky and found a copy of bowsers inside story at my GameStop right before I started playing through them. So yeah. This needs an update because a trailer for a bowser’s inside story remake was shown a few months ago

My favorite Mario and Luigi game has to be bowsers inside story. I loved the way how you can play as bowser. Since both the fawful games have the bros and bowser work together (your gonna yell at me cuz in superstar saga they didn't work together, they kinda did cuz they both wanted peaches voice back, and) I think there should be a game where bowser, mario, and Luigi are in a same team trying to take down fawful and they could use trio attacks like in paper jam :) most people would disagree with me but I hope at least some people would agree with me.

I wonder what the initial reactions were to Superstar Saga.(The original)
