Dude why do people hate on kicker so much? Theyre not competition quality, no shit. But if youre just teying to have a nice system that isnt all about blowing peoples earsnout with bass, then kicker is just fine.

strawsparky33 Exactly kickers are more for sq than spl of course you can get louder for the money but kicker amps always do their rated power and have better sound quality than most budget amps and their subs always take the power they say they do.. if you blowing kicker subs u either way overpowering them or clipping them

I've had several sets of L5s and L7s over the years in different vehicles. That's what works for me. I actually stumbled across this video because I bought a Tahoe today and was looking to see what different things had done. I have kids so I like to be able to rock out while they're in the car and really turn it up when in just riding. I don't need to win bass comps. I dont need to invest a vehicle price tag into a sound system. Now, that being said if someone pulls up bumping some xplods dont be talking shit to me lol. I don’t know why people hate Kicker so much. They never disappoint! My first set of Kickers were the 2001 CompVrs! Anyone who REALLY knows Kicker, knows they were a true 800 watt BEAST! I had two 12s in a 96 Caprice wired down to a 1.3 Ω load! Bass was nuts. I was knew to sounds so the cheap amp I had, did it’s job and some! Lanza 1200D amp running off an Optima yellow top. Threw a Cadence crossover on it and it was thunder! I had people in my town thinking I was running 4 15s. Lol!

I went all kicker in my Monte. Had a 1000.1 powering two Kicker 12s, 500.4 for my kicker speakers and a jvc head unit. I enjoyed the system so I decided to go Kicker in my new Altima. Got a 1600.1 powering the new Kicker CompR's. 600.4 for my speakers but instead of Kicker I decided to go JBL. Bought a yellow top battery. Having it all installed tomorrow with some dynamat in the trunk and top deck. Your system is pretty nice man. I like the Tahoe also

What did you use to keep your rear view mirror from falling?

My dream is to get another Tahoe. I had some older ones 97 and 99 had one 15” alpine type R in both in a big ass box sounded good. But now I got 4 15” type R just waiting to go into the back of Newer Tahoe. Preferably the 07-2013 series. But I thought this is a nice system man.

Very nice my 03 tahoe rocks the db drive G2’s 15’s with the A7 okur 2500.1 db drive amp running two 8’s G2’s as well db capacitor optimum batteries four channel for the platinum 6.5’s all db drive.

Man I got a 01 I wish I had that year Tahoe because they make the Tesla screen that snap in with the wood grain panels! Nice system though I would go ahead and put two or four more in there, you have the room if your electrical can support it👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Yo amps don't get hot after awhile from being under your seats?

I just hope you keep the oil changed. I see these badass trucks pull up knocking and smoking all the time. Saw a bad ass Escalade smoking and knocking, I asked the dude if he has checked or changed the oil and he said how? I had to show him how. I asked how long he had had it, he said almost 2 years. Badass custom Escalade with a blown motor because he cared more about the wheels and system than the oil.

I started with Kicker, had 2 Comp R 12's on a Kicker 1200w amp, burned up one in about 3 weeks. Went back and guy says get the L7's, well went with 2 L7 12's and went up to 1500w Amp they lasted 2 months ( spent $750 on subs and box ) took them back to shop and told guy I'm done with these. Did some research and bought 1 15" Fi BL for $359 and had a custom box made for about $150. My new set up is the Fi 15 running on a JL 1200w slash amp and this thing pounds 2 times harder then the kickers ever did and hits lows like it means it, been running for 2 years and zero problems with this sub.

Yea I like kicker. Like right now I have 2 12's CVR's the silver ones with the red K and a AudioPipe 1600 watt mono amp and man do they bang. But as of right now I'm using a boss armor amp 1600.2 cause the AudioPipe amp needs me to upgrade my electrical system I don't want to risk messing up the AudioPipe amp cause when it hits hard my lights dim. The Boss amp does ok for what it is but I had to wire the subs to a 4 ohm load cause the boss amp ain't a mono amp and it's only a 4 ohm load bridged

Premium Aphid howdy feller what subs are for low frequency. So depending how hard the the low frequencies are depends how much it "flaps" around. I personally think his system is nice but that's way too much bass and it makes it sound dirty and not clean. I'm not a hater but too much bass and it ruins that good sound for me.

I just got done with my install I have two audiobahn 10s and 1 Alpine 12 and the only thing I really hate about it is you can't do anything about that back window rattlingnormally you could buy some dynamite and put that for installation so you get a good clean sound but you can't put Dynamite over the back window

Good shit man, just picked up a couple cvx 15's for $200. Just got them in a prefab box and a small Rockford amp for now, shit still flexs my Durango. Sundown fan boys always hatin on kicker lmao I still have my comp 12s from 2009 lol they aren't the loudest but hold up like champs

smurf131cr no. you want your main tweeter to be close to the woofer. you can have a secondary tweeter on the pillars but your main tweeter should be no more than a few inches from the woofer, directed at your ear.
