I’ve learned to always raise my opponent on the river when I think they are betting light. I stopped calling their bluffs and they surprisingly fold so much more often and I win the pot. I’ve often called their river bet and still got beat with just a little bit better hand then what I had. I hate that. I started raising those situations and win.

I really thought you were going to put some real pressure on that last hand. I think you're correct that flatting the small bet is just begging to in BUT if you take the lead and raise the river you could represent a full house or any club. and you woudn't even have needed to make it any more than 900

@@garyblackwoodpoker I didn't know if you knew the "hand-egg" term, but I heard that plenty of times when I was living in Isle of Man. Oddly, there was a strong contingent of Scottish NFL fans, who would gather on Sunday to eat American food (my buttermilk biscuit recipe is a staple of their community), put on silly NFL jerseys and watch the games. Fortunately, I give zero f*cks about the NFL, so I turned down their invitations to join them, and ignored the hand-egg comments from everybody else.
