So many people have finally had the scales fall from their eyes Satan is trying different lures, debauchery. Crude talk, drugs and drunkards, immorality. So walking the Red-carpet mostly naked is another lure, next the men will be wearing invisible suits with only socks and brogans. Then all of them will be unfettered to express themselves for the camera 🎥 I’m not donating money to their lives.

Hair and makeup are well done, etc. It's not the crap that passes for fashion these days. Shame. Why don't women leave something to the imagination? I never show skin, that should never be shown. Hi Neil, You’re not at all wrong. In part, I blame the high-end designers. They should have dropped the nudies and stuck with good taste. But as the old saying goes, “gotta make a living.” It’s the Kardashian-type influence. They were an outlier, but with repetition, people got accustomed to seeing it, then started replicating it. Nothing lovely about it. It does provide attention and not just for exhibitionists. There is a generation that thinks you should SHARE everything, and have no privacy. Also, please yourself and don’t consider others (The decline in good manners). Im hoping the pendulum will swing the other way. Then, maybe proper undergarments will come back into style. Slips, for instance, can really make fabric fall just right. It would be nice to get back to glamour. Only a handful typically turn out like old Hollywood. Catherine Zeta-Jones never looked trashy, nor Nicole Kidman. They always dressed up and turned out looking stunning. It makes a difference when you can count on seeing that type of glamour. It’s the mystique of the business they’re in, but few dress as if they realize it.,

My daughters loved to glam up for Winter Formal; Prom; and Cottillion and looked stunning. I paid a fortune for beaded gowns and ball gowns; getting their hair styled; manicures and pedicures; and etcetera. It was worth it because they looked and felt like Princess's for the night. Never would my daughters have dressed the way so many of these young ladies do today. A shame.....👋👋👋👋👋 from 🍊 California

Hideous. (And shameful.) At any age! Yes, decades ago I loved the glittering events. They have zero appeal now.

Interesting topic. I have been thinking for a while about singers. When did it become necessary for them to dance around half dressed while performing? I want to hear them sing---- not perform with a troup of pro dancers, wearing unusual costumes. It s no wonder ticket prices are so high! Everybody needs to be housed and dressed and fed and paid, not to mention the cost of their travel. It is out of control! All of it!!

Hi Neil Neil,👋👋👋🇦🇺🇦🇺 me too, I long for those old days whsn ladies wore beautiful evening dress/gowns. That dress is DISGUSTING.

Can anyone explain why these women stick their tongue out between their teeth? Harry's wife does that too. I have no idea what it means and it is not a good look. Agreed, that dress is vulgar.

I wish the awards shows would go back to that. I don't even watch them anymore and haven't for a long time. Todays society wants to look cheap and trashy

😂 The dress looks like a florist's cellophane wrap. Leaving something to the imagination is far more sezzy.

The change has come in that previously the only news would be the awards, but with the clatter of constant news celebrities have to do something shocking and newsworthy to make the headlines. Big wave 👋

Yes a bit of class is inspirational when it's subtle! Not loud and in your face. I agree.

Agree with you Neil I do not see any class or fashion or elegance in dressing for a formal occasion that leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination! Geof Basos' new wife is the same! All that money and you dress Iike that! You could afford to have clothes styled and designed for you! As for MM and HER trip to Nigeria, a predominantly Muslim country and she wears, backless, sleeveless, braless outfits!!!?? Did she not look at what the women of Nigeria wear ?? Did she not even Google the customs of Nigeria??? You fo notvwear a backless sleeveless dress then touch a male who is not your husband and kiss him on the cheek! Then has the cheek to say she is 43 % Nigerian!

Tacky, vulgar, skin-baring dresses that leave nothing to the imagination detract from the person. Gone are the days of flattering gowns, stylish, and beautiful dresses.

It's not just you Neil. Might I suggest a phrase from oop north, 'mutton dressed as lamb' - an older woman dressed as if she was younger. She is objectifying herself but may start shouting "stop objectifying me!" if people make inappropriate comments. She may regret it in future when people remember for that dress and not for her achievements. Why did she feel the need to wear it?

I was surprised, given her Asian heritage. She would have looked better and had more attention in a beautiful Saree
