I feel like we didn’t watch the same thing. At 21:00 she literally reveals how spoiled she was, even as a child it was her way or the highway and she’d throw tantrums until she got what she wanted. It’s a shame her parents gave in, because it seems her real issues are not about food, they’re about control. I can empathize with her desire to change. It gave me hope seeing that she can eat other foods and even likes the taste. But even as an adult she throws tantrums to get her way (22:00). Ridiculous, but hey, it works for her. I’m sure her daughter will learn to do the same if her husband continues enabling her. I wish they’d addressed the way he enables her because although he is very patient, he’s unfortunately he’s stunting her progress. It feels like those kitchen scenes with the both of them are re-enactments of how she was with her parents. You’re right that she needs longer than 4 weeks, she needs a dedicated therapist who specializes in cases like hers that she can see weekly. She needs to unpack why food reverts her back to a childlike state (and it is childish: she puts on a baby voice, crosses her arms, stomps her foot, speaks in absolutes) and how she can reparent herself to relinquish control, tolerate other foods and consider the needs of other people above her own. This program was a fast track, but she could achieve loads more with more time!

I don’t know if she’s just spoilt and selfish? To deprive her husband and very young child of a happy healthy lifestyle 😞😞 To deprive them of dining out and socialising is very sad.. and that’s before I start on her health.. I stopped watching when she was stamping her feet in the kitchen before ordering her pizza! I am surprised I’d continued watching when she spat her carrot and suede out in front of her daughter.. awful behavior 😞😞 She is very fortunate that he is happy to do all the cooking after work and happy to be excluded from family and friends events and get togethers.. She is probably a very nice person, but she is 💯 starting off on the wrong foot with her little girl. I pray she doesn’t notice this “spitting out her dinner at the dinner table” in front of her daughter, as parents our behaviour moulds our children.

Size is just calories in calories out. You can eat absolute garbage, but if you keep it under your Total Daily Energy Expenditure you won't gain weight. And you can also eat amazingly, but if you eat enough, you'll still gain. She orders large pizzas, but we don't see if she eats the whole thing in a single sitting. And when we do see her eat she didn't eat that much. That being said, weight tells you very little about someone's actual health. Her blood work was atrocious. And her skin was pallor. And it might be genetics, but it also wouldn't surprise me if her hair was so thin because it was falling out. Hair loss is a common symptom of malnutrition.

Never the tons of processed bread they eat, even though it completely outweighs the cheese or the meat etc. Always blame the fatty food, not the carby food. When was it decided that natural, relatively unprocessed fatty foods like meat and cheese were more unhealthy than the highly processed grains and sugar.
