i like how he kinda stutters and slurs. it adds to the effect of being a _giant fucking ball of tentacles and eyes._

If I hear a nice enough voice, I literally get a physical feeling from it, like the echoes of physical contact. Needless to say, Hermaeus Mora falls into this category, and the fact that a disembodied tentacle daedra has a massaging voice to me sounds way kinkier than it actually is.

Such an ominous yet soothing voice. With Skyrim being my first Elder Scrolls experience, I went into this world knowing nothing. The first time I encountered this guy I felt trapped.... but in a good way.... forbidden knowledge is exactly what I always seek & I honestly welcomed his intervention with open arms. Best Daedric Prince IMO.

I think is unfathomable form, ambivalence and all-around ambiguity per his motives is further inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft. Everything about him fluctuates from his influence, to his preferences to his physical form. To understand him would be impossible and so making him more "invincible" compared to the other Daedra since he's never really there and he's never really gone.

If he says "fool", sounds like a compliment with thats sexy voice.

That's the thing though he isn't evil, the Daedric Princes -as we know them anyway- are neither good or evil, they simply *are* (except for maybe Molag Bal) this is especially true for Hermaus Mora as he is literally made of knowledge.

@@justinspeaks.1652 I mean he is neutral by our mortal standards but that is our perception of him. Azura and Meridia being seen as wholly good and Dagon and Molag being seen as bad. But that's what's magnificent about his character. His good or evil status relies completely on where you stand in relation to him. As a knowledge seeker is is kind to let you roam his library, but as a secret keeper (the Skaal in this case) see him as evil because he will stop at nothing to aquire knowledge. But we do not call the storm evil for blowing down our house or the wolf evil for eating. It is their nature. As it is his to collect knowledge. Like you said he is made of knowledge (specifically all of the Aedra's unused creation ideas and secrets. Hence his forbidden knowledge). He is amazing.

Hermaeus Mora scares the hell out of me.

What I like most about Hermaeous Mora is that his knowledge is gained from others, like mortals. He’s the Daedric prince of knowledge, but it doesn’t intrinsically mean that he already knows all knowledge.

Easily my favorite Daedric Prince. Still lords over you as most but he mostly brushes it off as your pesky mortal rebelliousness.

He truly embodies a form akin to that of Lovecraftian Fiction, and the way he carries himself just adds to the overall mysterious and intriguing nature of his existence. Most certainly a fascinating and rather unique Deadric Prince. Also, I have a desire for knowledge and endless curiosity of the unknown, along with learning, so I think that this particular aspect of his is also really epic!

I wonder if Hermaeus has a book on curing your lisp

in oblivion we heard that the neravarine vanished(presumably done by azura), and in 6 we'll hear that the dragonborn vanished, presumably to apocrypha, as is the fate of everyone who goes there. to quote Miraak "Hermaeus Mora is a fickle master. He will betray you as he has me.".

Idk why I started listening to this, but the weird part is that I couldn’t stop listening to it awhile after it started. Even weirder, after it ended, I felt really relaxed, and started listening to it again.

Ah yes, Hermaeus Mora, Nirn's resident Cthulhu. What I love about his voice is that it sounds both very wise (kinda Grandfatherly), as well as otherworldly. Wes Johnson friggin' nailed it when it came to voicing this character. He also did a fantastic job as Hermaeus Mora's brother, Sheogorath. I hope Mr. Johnson returns in ESVI to reprise his rolls.

For me it'd be hermaeus mora, vaermina, azura, nocturnal, and hircine

I listen to this every know and then before sleep. And I began to think in his Voice for the whole night. It's priceless haha

I f**king love "herma Mora" from the moment I first saw him BC 1.I love learning new things in general (mainly science) and so I relate a lot with herma Mora needing/wanting to know everything and 2.he has a really cool design and nice voice. (Also I'm not so sure its necessarily a good thing but if herma Mora was real I would serve him in a heartbeat.)
