kind of sucks, I think she would have been the best one to take the throne, smart, down to earth, just wants to be with her best friend and sister, strong on the outside, kind on the inside. Of course only Melody would be able to detect such a person. Indeed sad she died. I kind of hope that her nen beast actually saved her soul and that it isn't just a facade faking it.

Ive been thinking about her hatsu and how it could be countered. What if someone used a very poisonous insect to kill her, and when she dies she takes the life force of her killer. But because its an insect that killed her, shes going to have the life force of an insect. And then she could be killed easily again since she is only as strong as an ant. So its actually impossible to 'kill' her, but one could just trap her in a pile of bullet ants and she is going to get killed and regain life force of an ant and get killed again and again, thus trapping her in a vicious and torturous cycle.

Woble’s nen beast could also have been the one that killed all of his bodyguards. The fact that Togashi is purposely not revealing what it even looks like makes me think it’s extremely powerful.

@@jeffstut55 If the nen beasts forms and abilities are based off the personality and deepest desires of their masters, it's very likely that Wobel's would be the deadliest. The only real instinct a baby has is to survive, and at a very basic level it understands that goal hinges on others taking care of and protecting them. By this logic Wobel's beast would have a simplistic but extremely deadly form and set of abilities that come with few to no requirements to activate. Also makes sense that it would try and remain undetected whenever possible, since being flashy/careless would just put Wobel in unnecessary danger.

Bruh hunter x hunter is definitely one of the most complex anime i've ever seen!

(First that come to my mind) Tserriednich, benjamin, zhang-lei (it's asian but not japanese), wobble, camilla, halkenburg, salé-salé, tyson, tubeppa, marayam (majority of princes) Furykov, musse, balsamilvo, vict, bill, theta... (some guards, the ones that i could remember) I think that for a manga that's a lot of non-japanese sounding names (although some are translated from japanese) I think the problem is more that... there are so many characters all at once, and some names are difficult to remember (i had to check how to write tserriednich as well as google names) (I think the "solution" is just to read again to familiarize yourself more with the names - it's not the best but it helps to better associate names with the characters) (Also i realize it's an old comment sorry)

Togashi dedicated all this arc to explain how stands work at JoJo's ... Araki: It just works.

King crimson, instead of time, manipulates fate or the future if you're adamant about it manipulating time. Regardless of what you name it, it plays out the same : Diavolo activates king crimson's epitaph allowing him to see the next 10 seconds with perfect accuracy, everyone was fated to move a certain way and they do. Diavolo, however can ignore his fate for those 10 seconds and move freely in an intangible state meaning he can't attack himself or take damage in "erased time". Once the 10 seconds run out however, he can instantly attack but he can only be in one place. He can trick people unaware of his ability by taunting them just before skipping time so they attack then but the attack will just faze through him and hit whatever's on the other side due to its inertia, be it another person or an object. How do you think a mind is supposed to react if its destiny is completely changed? It gets severely disoriented. In essence, king crimson is the original D4C, it can create a space were its own misfortune is negated and it can heal or essentially create a new user that has the same memories and motivation as the previous one. About some theoretical matchups: The world inserts actual time in a timeline, adding extra fate where diaVolo has no control over since no actual time oasses, that is to day there are no fated events in between a fraction of an instant. Essentially king crimson gets donuted. Against killer queen, in direct combat diavolo can be as reckless as he wants because he can negate the first bomb detonating or prevent him getting touched. If kira uses bites the dust on him, the first time he will blow up and time will rewind, the second time, king crimson will protect him from exploding meaning only kira gets sent back in time while the rest of the world just continues the timeline loop free while kira and whoever the bomb was planted on (it's not clear whether the host has to be a stand user or not since we only saw it on Hayato and the Paramedic lady who, as far a s we know weren't stand users) are stuck in the 1 hour loop, unfortunately he is unaware of what happens in each rewind, besides what he can glean from the people around him, he might therefore never figure it out and have trapped himself. King crimson against king crimson is a stalemate but eventually boils down to which diavolo uses it the least, making it a very hardboiled and stamina driven battle. >!If diavolo uses king crimson while time reaches a singularity point caused by made in heaven, he can temporarily avoid being compressed to the point from which the big bang sprung. Thus however is only in 10 second intervals and relies on diavolo's stamina, that is if earth wasn't destroyed already or he simply dies of old age which once again depends on his stamina. Her his future sight is severely shitrend because of course that time frame is accelerated. Made in heaven could sneak up on him like that already, preventing his personality and possibly his stand from returning in the new universe.! >!D4C can get blitzed by king crimson while it positions itself just when it emerges with a new valentine. He would die yo the menger amalgamation though since it's a constant effect unless it happens within 10 seconds where he becomes intangible while the other diavolo is consumed, thereby removing the danger. Against love train he can't do anything really since it is a reaction effect that doesn't rely on fate but on instant reflection, making diavolo's attacks useless, he might be able to phaze through the screen and kill valentine inside it though.!

@@dannydelacruz7303 To me its not that obvious. With hunterxhunter I feel like it could go any direction. The only guarantee we have is that Kurapika will probably kill the 4th prince. But other than that who will really win is kinda unknown.

The nen beast concept is similar to Yu Yu Hakusho with Yusuke receiving an egg of a spirit beast whose form is influenced by the nature of the spirit energy it absorbed. Considering this is the same author I’d be interested in seeing how he fleshes out the nen beasts in HxH.

@Demagôgo Sensacionalista What? JoJo is much older than HxH, by more than 10 years actually. JoJo started just shortly after Dragonball and Hunter x Hunter started around the time Naruto started. In fact, the ability Epitaph itself is about as old as Hunter x Hunter, so if anything Togashi took inspiration from Araki.

I think Togashi is on to us as always, as you've said, HunterXHunter takes many symbols from the real world to incorporate in a comic. IMO, i think Kakin Succession War is an analogy of type of rulers in the real world. I think their nen beasts are the nod to this. Benjamin is an aggressive, dominating, yet somehow loyal and honorable. He's a militaristic patriot leader, a fascist dictator to be exact. Fascists, despite being an evil despot for most of the time, actually have loved ones and true loyalists in the government (hence why his men are very loyal). His nen beast's power probably a straightforward fighting type. I think it's a very matching nen beast, a 'predator' who eats enemies. Camilla is a selfish, materialistic, and amoral leader. a typical 'spoiled' princess who wanted all to obey her. A typical pompous european queen/noble. Her nen beast simply told people 'you have to obey me!' kind of thing. Zhang Lei is a rational but ruthless diplomat. A typical balanced pragmatist who uses diplomacy for a means to an end. I think he would be a successful CEO or company leader. His principle is 'equivalent exchange'. In short, he will 'share' powers as a mean for 'greater good', e.g. stability, development, etc. In short, a reasonable and diplomatic elitist, an aristocrat, like many leaders in Asia. Think of him as a gentler version of Frieza. I think he's the most sane of the top 4 princes though. Tserriednich is a psychopath and a misogynist. I would imagine him as the mad emperor of Rome, narcissistic, charismatic, cultured and refined, and ruthless and woman-hater to a fault. His first nen beast is a symbol of his misogynistic nature and his second nen beast is probably a personification of satan, the Emperor of Rome, who sometimes identified as such in the Bible and early Christianity literature (whore of Babylon, etc). Tubeppa is a scholar/technocrat reformer. She is probably the most reasonable after Halkenburg, and her desire to kill the first three first is a nod to her more 'radical' side, though i certainly feel that she is justified since the first three are total assholes. Her nen beast is also a nod to this. A beneficial partnership. Tyson is a cult leader. A leader who enjoys blind devotion of the subjects and feeds on their devotion. This is a weak and emotional leader who wants to be loved. That is why her nen beast has a taboo that they cannot break. This is prevalent in cults. I think the one eye is a nod to a cultic behavior (many of the ancient religions have eye for a symbol) Luzurus is a scammer, like you said. I think he's more like a salesman than a leader. Totally not a leader type. I think his nature is like a drug dealer, a bait and switch type. You give them what they want, and you demand something bigger in return. Personality wise, i think he's the less prominent of the princes. Sale-Sale is obviously a hedonist. I think a personification of man-child. I think his nen beast is a nod to this. He obviously didn't want to work. All of the nen beast have powers that uses 'work', but this lump's beast is a stationary and otherwise harmless beast if attacked. Its power depends on the user's mood. So yeah, a hedonist man-child. Halkenburg is a social reformer idealist. His noble, kindhearted, and great sense of morality characteristics are typical of reformers like Gandhi, Luther King, Mandela, et al. But he gets a shot of realistic from his father. His nen beast is a nod to this. Revolutions often happen through people and trust of each other with a leader as a spearhead of the movement. That's why his nen beast's power is, in my opinion, the 'purest' of all beasts; no manipulations, no coercive, no pragmatism, but power of unity. It even has condition that the user must be loyal to Halkenburg's causes. And Halkenburg also learns 'dominance' from his father. In short, to have a total revolution, bad seeds like Benjamin, Camilla, Zhang Lei, and Tserriednich must be converted or removed. (Hence his arrow powers) Kacho through Woble are child rulers, i would say they are the victim of circumstances of the succession war. Kacho and Fugetsu's powers symbolizes dependance on each other, with Kacho acts like the body, Fugetsu acts like the soul. That is why their powers need each other to be manifested. Momoze is also a dependant person, her powers being dependant towards the target. Marayam's power is a product of insecurity of a children, and Woble is a baby. So basically they are the 'child ruler' that many monarchies had in the past. In short, this arc is an analogy of a power struggle in a monarchy. It's not uncommon even a child could be a monarch, usually controlled by their mothers.

Theory about how Tserriednich's Nen Beast can stay up despite Zetsu: I believe that with a sufficient level of skill with Emission a Nen user can cause an effect of their ability that works separately from their own body to continue to exist despite being cut of from the source of Nen. This is supported by the fact that post mortem Nen is a thing which allows abilities to continue to function after death even though that should result in the Nen supply for the ability to run dry. So it might be possible to basically set a charge on an ability and have it work or even trigger separately from one's own conscious decisions despite being in Zetsu.

Definitely richer lore-wise compared to Chimera Ant. It's the inevitable showdown between Tserreindich vs. Chrollo that will determine the arc's payoff. The payoff is the reason CA is so important.

By far tserriednich is the scariest and the fact that he is developing his own nen abilities truly feals me with fear and excitement. btw halkenburg is my favourite.

There's no way they can leave the manga like that. The nen beats are just being discovered on regular humans, they are absolute threats and this isn't even the Dark Continent, Gon and Killua are nowhere to be seen despite how much HxH is known to show both sides of a story. Literally the Dark Continent is mentioned and Gon has nothing to do with that, but Don does? I think not Maybe Togashi and his team have these nexts parts planned completely, but wish their best to deliver it to us the right way versus all the talking they've prepared us with

This is a great video and it covers almost every Prince and their nen beasts well, except for prince Benjamin. Prince Benjamin has a nen power that was awakened after receiving his nen beast. "Those who inherit the stars" which allows him to use the nen ability of anyone who swore their loyalty to him when they die. Each time someone dies this way, their power is represented by a star on one of the Prince's knuckles. This only applies to those who graduated from the Kakin Royal Military academy and are a member of his personal army.

Just a reminder that kurapika has seen woble's nen beast and it made him absolutly terrified. Pretty sure woble's nen beast will be the x-factor in however the succession war ends.

I think the youngest prince's beast will somehow help save kurapika lifespan. Like it will be able to give some life back to kurapika, but will take some of the princes life thereby aging him up from a baby to a kid or whatever

But it's to generic. It would be interesting if the life of kurapika more decrease by nen beast. So he only live for few years. Oh don't get me wrong i like kurapika. (2nd best in hxh) but i hope he can achieve all his dream as soon as possible (spider, eyes, etc) compare than have long life but wandering with his grudges.

@@ganipra7402 true. But im afraid of him even making it to the dark continent at the rate hes going. He spent like 10 hours in red eyes mode already and the action hasn't even started. (And he has to atay alive long enough to at least fight the 4th prince, or chrollo Lucifer, or both)

Just hope the story that leads to the final winner will be an interesting. Whoever wins doesn't matter tbh. Journey>Destination

Maybe one of the reasons why for all these hiatuses is the insane amount of detail Togashi puts into the story

Technically speaking, Tserr's ability might actually involve the restriction of Zetsu because the Nen Beast itself doesn't exist while he's in a state of Zetsu, but will exist in the future when he exits Zetsu, thereby he sees the perspective of the beast when it will exist, not when it does.

This is how you write a shonen not with friendship bullshit like one piece you write quality with no cliche things gon is not even the protagonist anymore hxh has reached higher levels than previously established

I really appreciate this series, the new arc is a book in text alone and releases too slow to actively keep up.

I think togashi has written himself into a corner, with so many different characters and that incredibly power system it is too difficult to not engage in contradictions and plot holes, I don't think he'll ever manage to finish this incredibly interesting manga

there are bound to be some contradictions and plot holes but it's absolutely worth it for such a beautifully woven, realistic and complex setting/story. like you said it makes this manga incredibly interesting, and this will not change whether he finishes it or (more probably) not

Prince Woble's nen beast is Kurapika. This nen beast in a specialist when their eyes turn red, adept in the use of chains. They are exceptionally intelligent and powerful and all but assures Woble has a huge chance of surviving the succession war.

This does not imply that the Nen goes away, just that it can't be used for defense or offense. So the *4th Prince* uses Zetsu to enhance his cognitive Abilities. The Nen Beasts feed off of their host's aura, but their powers lie inside the body, not outside, otherwise, prolonged Zetsu use could kill them. In short, the 4th Prince has an inner Nen Beast, that reacts to internal stimuli, and an outer Nen Beast, that reacts to external stimuli. 🧐

Yep, this current arc is like the old saying " trust no one" because in every corner you can be isolated, create an alliance or enemy is very possible.

This is creepy I just finished hxh's manga and this pops up in my recommended

I feel with zetsu you still have access to your nen but u can only effect your mental state which is y the 4th prince has recognition. Which implies that either the beast returns to the body of its owner or u can create a power within zetsu that can only effect the inside of your body such as being able to hold your breath longer cause of your lungs if in zetsu but it depends on your nen category cause thats would b enhancement. The 4th prince is a specialist but has an affinity to conjuration due to making a nen beast instinctively
