Darth Plagueis was a dark lord of the sith so powerful and so wise, that he could use the force to influence the midichlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the force is a path way to many abilities some consider to be unnatural!

    Except Luke said to Jabba in ROTJ, "You will bring Capt Solo and the Wookie to me." and "It'll be the last mistake you ever make!" I heard that Lucas wrote it this way to show that Luke was on the closer to the possibility of falling to the dark side than he knew, but realized this lack of awareness before throwing away his saber in front of Sidious. He also did that as a last ditch attempt to selflessly save his father bc he knew he was certainly going to die without a saber. What other jedi in history threw away their saber before a sith? He begged Anakin to help him because a Sith wouldn't have helped. When Vader was looking back and forth from Palpatine to Luke, he was struggling with the dark side teaching of not to aid the weak which by ridiculously throwing away his saber was really stupid and stupidity is weakness, sparing him was compassion and weakness, plus the gesture was fueled by selflessness to the extreme. On the other hand, watching Luke throw his life away to give his father one last chance to cast aside the sith way and save him (plus it was his kid which, you know, is a thing). Sidious was testing or maybe just taunting Vader throughout the attempted conversion of Luke. He said about Luke's lightsaber, "A jedi's weapon. Much like your father's". I may be overanalyzing ROTJ's writing depth here, but I think that was a jab at Vader bc Sidious knew Vader was conflicted. As when he said, "I thought I told you to remain on the command ship." Also, sensing at the beginning that Vader wanted to keep searching for Luke was another jab. Sidious seemed to be honestly surprised when Vader picked him up bc he cried out in intense fear. I think he believed Vader was standing behind him (and being turned back wasn't possible as he indicated twice before in statements in the throne room) not Anakin. AND CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY ANAKIN WAS ABLE TO WALK WHILE BEING LIT BY FORCE LIGHTNING BESIDES PLOT ARMOR?!

  • @zexalbrony4799

    @zexalbrony4799

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@ericw5389 Literal armor. I mean Vader did have a suit so its possible it was allowing him to keep going despite the pain. Plus, I can't remember where, but I think someone somewhere stated that the grip of Vader's suit is strong so once he grabbed Sideous, Sideous couldn't get away, so all he had to do was get him to the edge. But then you have to consider that Vader's suit was also a superconductor for electricity, so it might have been damaged before he could finish. So it was probably some three-way combination of the suit itself, sheer will power and the Force that allowed Anakin to power through the Force Lightning to kill Sideous.

    @@irongosse8366 I understand what Disney was trying to do with force healing, but to have Rey use it was there mistake since a force user at her stage of training would've actually died from it. I even have issues with Baby Yoda using it. Force healing already existed in canon and in legends, but there were a few flaws with how Disney used it in TROS. For example, Rey used the force ability twice and never showed any signs of exhaustion from it even though, she's draining a part of her life force into the creature and into Kylo Ren. Also, Rey probably didn't die from saving Kylo Ren because 1) plot armor 2) Kylo Ren was just injured and not close to dying. Remember, he did survive from being shot by Chewie's bowcaster in TFA. To explain why Obi-Wan couldn't save Qui-Gonn was that force healing was mostly likely forbidden to be taught to the Jedi. Also, Obi-Wan would've had to take his own life to save Qui-Gonn since he was so close to death. As for Ahsoka saving master Peel, she was too inexperienced with the force and probably didn't know the ability existed since she was already dead when Anakin brought her back to life by transferring the Daughter's life force into her. On Mortis and in legends is the only time this force ability would work because Anakin had help from the Father and Daughter to force heal Ahsoka whereas, in Legends they explain how the force user needed to be extremely powerful and well trained to use the force ability.

    *Video idea:* Force life extension and immortality techniques - both Light and Dark side abilities (and Grey, of course). There is the apparent slow aging of some Jedi masters (does Yoda's species naturally live to 900?), Although not Kenobi, who aged damn fast on Tatooine. In legends there are ancient human Jedi who have lived for centuries, but they are still very elderly, not kept young. And of course becoming one with the Force (not quite as fun as having a physical body though). And the Dark side has Plagueis and his quest, Palpatines body jumping [what if he was Plagueis in his apprentices body? Killing the current vessel is apparently the mechanism that allows transference] and the various life stealing _to reverse aging and preserve the youth_ of the wielder. Besides the various legends Sith, there's the original script of TROS which had Kylo being promised that ability by a ancient Sith being. It's probably not only the most sought after power, but also the most useful, as living for at least a few centuries beyond your normal lifespan not only allows you to continue to have a positive effect on the Galaxy (from your perspective), but it enables you to grow even more skilled in the Force. Imagine Obi-Wan with say four centuries of experience and training (instead of just killing time in a cave watching a farm boy) with the body of a middle aged or young man.

    Grey jedi are often regarded as the force itself, they acted with what the force told them to act upon, and used whatever side came to them in the time of use, a grey jedi master could likely best anakin in terms of force power, though of course, if anakin became a grey jedi, he would be completely immortal.

    Two notes: Mechu-Deru was used by the jedi quite a lot. Inherently the ability didn't change mechanics, it merely granted insight. Which of course can facilitate further alterations, which the sith did. Jedi used it more in the way to gain insight in how to handle and repair machines. And the memory walk technique was originally conceived by jedi as a calming tool. To relive positive memories and moments of calmness, easing patients and helping them through pain. The sith obviously twisted this into a weapon, the ability can be used for its intended purpose by jedi.

    the Je'daii of old could use the abilities shown here, and many more. they were unrestricted in Force ability use, and access to that much power required knowledge, and the will, to use it properly. "There is ignorance, it is countered with knowledge. There is emotion, within and around us. There is fear, it is countered with peace. There is passion, it gives us strength and focus in hard times to do what must be done. There is chaos, it is countered by harmony. There is no balance, there is only the Force. The Great Spirit that keeps us all alive, surrounds us and flows through us, is the Force. The Force gives me love, wisdom, strength, power, and victory, for the Force is love, wisdom, strength, power, and victory. Through the Force, my chains are broken. The Force sets me free and guides my steps. The Force is my ally. I fear none for the Force is with me." - the new Je'daii Code.

    Transformed into the light memory walk after all transformations could become instead of form of torture a form of mind healing. The force user can nearly the same thing but be careful and help the person to go though the painful memories again and again loosing the emotional reaction the aim is that the person should feel the situation as an information, nothing more. But the Jedi never fought about it as jujemen thought about electric jugement

    Sith Alchemy, altering organic chemistry. Strangely, by definition, this would include healing, "a power some deem as unnatural". Healing of injuries, regrowing tissue, restoring life force, etc... Also powers like "animal friendship", creating a bond between you and an animal... really a power like that technically serves only the user, creates an attachment, and in some cases even alters the animal and or the animals connection to the force as well.

    My only disagreement is that you didn't make clear the distinction between force lighting (the generation of electrical currents through use of the force) and sith lighting (as described by Darth Plagius.) Based on the teachings of Kyle Katarn (later adopted by Luke in Legends) Force Lighting much like Pyrokinesis (it's real and was used by Poppa Palpatine) was a neutral power and it's evolution (sith lighting used by dark siders, and Electric judgment, used by Luke and Plo Kun) depended on the user.

    By the way it sounds, force alchemy isn't exactly evil unless applied to living things or is used to somehow infuse objects with the darkside or something. Outside of that, it may have some very useful applications such as in construction or repair.

    Based on your videos as well as my own research on the subject, i am slowly coming to the conclusion that the Dark Side of the Force is neither some kind of perversion of nature nor an integral part of the universal balance, but rather something in between. Contrary to what you said in you Mortis Arc video, i do believe that there has to be some kind of natural darkness in the Force, because in the same arc, the Father states: "Too much dark or light would be the undoing of life as you understand it." I like to phrase it in a more philosophical way: "If there is only dark, you can't see because there is no light to illuminate the dark. If there is only light, you can't see because there is no dark to contrast the light." And it is stated in the book "The Jedi Path" that the first to turn away from Ashla, the "Light Side" started to listen to the whispers of a dark, sunken part of the force called Bogan, the "Dark Side". Both the Jedi and the Sith (like Darth Bane, for example) preach that they are following the will of their respective "side" of the Force. How can the Dark Side have a will if it's just meant to be a tool, subservient to its wielders as you claim? But what exactly is Bogan, this presumed natural darkness? The answer is rather simple: It is death. It is a known fact in both Canon and Legends lore that the Force is divided into the Living Force and the Cosmic Force. The Cosmic Force fuels life as soon as it's created, thus becoming Living Force. And as soon as that life has withered away, the Living Force fueling it (you could also call it a "soul") is pulled back into the Cosmic Force to fuel a new generation of life. And the force pulling them back is none other than Bogan. Think of it as a black hole or some kind of "drainage" from the physical to the spiritual realm. Simply put, Ashla "creates" life while Bogan "destroys" it. Not because it is inherently malevolent necessarily, but because that is its cosmological purpose. Going back to the Father's statement, if there was only life and no death, the Cosmic Force would be drained and drained until there was nothing left. The living beings in the physical realm might lose their connection to one another since they are no longer connected through the Force. All Force would forever be bound in limiting, physical forms and the universe would become bleak, cold and stagnant. Or even worse, if we assume the Cosmic Force isn't finite, life would continue to grow, to fester until it turns into a twisted, tortured caricature of itself, unable to die. The fact that Bogan is essentialy a force of pure destruction is exactly what makes those consumed by it so dangerous. This is evidenced by the fact that in almost all Star Wars media, be it the movies, TV shows, books or even video games (as well as this video) Sith are utterly unable to use any kind of healing or life-giving powers. The only way a Sith can heal himself is by draining the life of another, as opposed to the Jedi, who can use techniques like Curato Salva for healing themselves or even the infamous Force Heal to use on others. Yes, i think Anakin has been lied to from the very beginning the the Dark Side was able to grant life and save people from death. The only way the Sith "create" life is through perverse alchemical or necromantic methods, as you stated. I said earlier that the Sith are people consumed by the Dark Side. I did not use that word accidentally. When you give yourself to Bogan, it alters your mind and body and sets you on a path of total destruction, and you won't even be aware of it until it's too late. It is no coincidende that the Sith have been called "enemies of life". They are living embodiments of Bogans inherently destructive nature. Going back to the black hole comparison, they are driven to consume and destroy to desperately try and fill their own emptiness. They have practically no say in this, their connection to Bogan dooms them to destroy, even themselves. The more you let the Dark Side fuel you, the more you will be consumed by it. Just look at Darth Sion, or an even better example, Darth Nihilus, who essentially became a sentient black hole, his body just being an empty husk fueled by the Dark Side. This is why the Sith are so obsessed with the idea of immortality, even going so far as to try and preserve their spirits within inanimate objects (Sith-Holocrons, Muur-Talisman), because they are terrified of one day being fully consumed by the very same power they worship.

    Quick question (not related to vid) what did Anakin think about Ahsoka and Rex when order 66 was executed ?

  • @ahsoka5216

    @ahsoka5216

    4 жыл бұрын

    In ROTS, Anakin felt uneasy when Palpatine told him that he would have to betray Obi-Wan if he doesn't side with them so I guess that's how Anakin felt about Ahsoka and Rex during Order 66. Imo, Anakin knew they survived because Ahsoka has been through similar situations such as her being hunted down by the Trandoshians in season 3 and being hunted down by the clones in season 5. We know how Anakin felt about Ahsoka being out there all alone in both situations so I could see him being worried about her safety during Order 66 since they had a powerful force bond. This is my theory, but maybe Anakin contacted Ahsoka when he betrayed Mace Windu to warn her about Order 66 and because he needed help which is why Darth Vader asked in Ahsoka's vision "where were you when I needed you?" (In Rebels).
