Daydreams was my very first hard cover coloring book and I messed up several pictures. I’ve thought about replacing it, but then, i consider it my workbook that shows my coloring progress.

It's great idea! When I look at my old pictures I always think about what I've learned while coloring them, not that I could make them better now and so on. It's nice to remember where you tarted and how you proceed with your progress...

Thank you! I love to experiment in Hanna's books because even if I'm not 100% happy with the result I can always find similar picture in her books and to do next coloring, using experience which I gained from previous experiments

You colour in beautifully, I haven't seen these books before but I want to try my hand at colouring in again, I don't have many products to colour in with, just some watercolour pencils and some gel pens, I wouldn't even know which book to start with as they all look amazing!? TFS

Bernadette I don't think I have special tutorials for background separately, you simple can find on my channel color along video of any picture you like in this review and to watch how I do backgrounds with various mediums. I have video about how I decide which medium to use kzread.info/dash/bejne/fqGOk8-Eici4qrQ.html . As for color choosing, it depends from many reasons - what I want to express through picture, which colors I simply want to use, some inspirational picture I found and so on.

Absolutely gorgeous work, every page and every book is beyond stunning. May I ask if you these pages before you watercolor, and if so what do you use to prep the pages before you watercolor backgrounds? Or does the original paper of her books take watercolor on its own? Thank you for sharing all your beautiful completed pages. 🙏🏻🙂

Thank you! In the books by H. Karlzon (both in Swedish and USA editions) I work directly on the paper without any preparation and I've never used any primer/clear gesso. I like how paper works with watercolor - of course it's not real watercolor paper but in the same time paper doesn't bleed through and allows you to spread pigment and to add significant amount of water. The only thing I do - I iron pages after coloring to get rid of buckling

I never had any problems with bleeding through in any of Karlzon's books - both Swedish and English editions. I even used plenty of water and experimented with many layers - still never had problems. After drying paper buckles a little bit, but I iron it and it becomes smooth again.

Hi Marinella! soprattutto mi piace dipingere lo sfondo con acquerelli e con Neocolor II. A volte faccio l'intero sfondo con le matite, ma raramente ho la pazienza )))) La scelta del materiale dipende dal libro.

I use various mediums in Hanna's books - from Prismacolor pencil backgrounds to Neocolors, acrylic paint, pearl and regular watercolor paints

i have prismacolor but i dont know how to paint like you, its a sad situation. yo says that use mix media, its the notebook i think, how do you use it to paint the background? do you add an extra sheet in the book? your backgrounds are so cool. Greetings from Mexico, sorry, my english is not good

Hi Angelina! I'm not sure what did you mean by ' add an extra sheet in the book'. I like to use for the backgrounds watercolor paints or water soluble Neocolor II crayons, and then on top of this layer I work with pencils. I also love to mix regular watercolor with pearlescent or metallic, to get more interesting effects. I hope that it was helpful...

Спасибо! Фоны обязательно получатся, если не бояться экспериментировать с материалами и техниками нанесения. Я и сейчас каждый новый фон воспринимаю как проект с неясным исходом - эксперимент может удасться, а может и разочаровать, тогда в следующий раз я буду знать, что исправить.

No, you will have access to many videos which I published during all years of my Patreon , but some videos are for higher tiers (5-10). It works like that: each month I add couple of projects for 3 USD, +2 additional projects for 5, + 2 projects for 10.
