This is why we shouldn't lower the entry level for female soldiers. Not because of gatekeeping. but there is a level of standard everyone needs to meet to perform a certain task. If anyone is unable to meet that standard and is still allowed to enter, it means that everyone in that group has to put in even more effort to cover for that weakness.

@@Syn741 I thought Singapore was going their own way? How has the diversity and quota culture travelled to Singapore?

@@thewealthofnations4827 singapore has always been accepting of diversity. Well, it was built into our society. As you know, we are a multicultural country, and the government has literally built a diverse culture into the country to keep peace within the races. Our quota culture is a little different from places like US. We prioritise Singaporeans first, then the foreigners. we don't use quotas on race or gender. In the military, we don't have that quota as all the locals and second generation permenant residents guys are required to serve the country. Girls can join the military if they want to. At the end of the day it's kind of our own way. It's the same but different. if you get what i'm trying to say.

What this PROVED is that even with the same specialized training and equipment, the overwhelming vast majority of women do NOT have what it takes to perform the same roles as men. If that all female swat team was sent to deal with a real life situation where many lives were on the line; which is precisely why swat teams exist, people would die as a result of the women’s inadequacies. Obviously I cannot link the site on here, but look up Toronto Latinos dot calm to see the spin they put on this. They did not mention a single thing about how embarrassing or incompetent they were. Instead, they claim it recognizes female capabilities in male dominated roles and how important it is that gender equality barriers be eliminated. If you only read their article and didn’t watch the video, you would probably believe that the women were just as competent and proficient as the men.

It's concerning that it took them so long to realise that all pulling on the wire rope at the same time meant that it would sag in the middle meaning their uncordonated scramble at the start was for nothing. A good way to highlight that you need to assess a problem before you jump in and also that men and women's physical abilities are very different.

You should see the other female teams. They're good and hold their own against the men such as the belarusian and dubai police team. And actually, its abit hard for us to judge embarrassing performances because tbvh, SG didn't do very well in this competition if you've watched it. I do hope our boys try again next year and show some solid improvements though!

🙌As a former soldier I can tell you other none all girls teams did better. They need to be more mindful next time and not send all women unless the competition is designed for women. It must have been extremely frustrating for the women.

As a former soldier, I don't think real-life combat scenarios differentiate between men and women. But I do agree with you that mixed teams would likely perform better than all-female teams.
