My first deck 16 years ago, I still play it today in real life and in Master Duel! In Master Duel, though, I tend to favour it for that last Xyz Summon Daily Challenge for Flare Metal Dragon and when it's hot, ooh, boy, is it hot!! People weep!

The implication that he probably won due to the ante rule is the best. In Yugis eyes, Joey won against Malik and that Duel was their true battle city finale.

I'd say in the manga he was even more equal to Kaiba and Yugi after battle city since the anime tried very hard to put him below kaiba in the filler arcs while in the manga their relationship ended with Kaiba accepting Joey as a true duelist after he risked his life against Ra.

Always though it was a waste not to have blue eyes or Red-eyes(preferably) in 5ds I would had loved to see a signer or dark signer use them considering 5ds main gimmick was dragons 🐉 for the main cast

Red darkness dragon had the best design imo. And it's the best designed monster in the game imo.

I still l wish we had a Millennium World version of Joey and the Red Eyes. He could've been a Commoner with a Dark Past. Whenever he was at his lowest, a Demon of Pitch back Darkness and Seething Red Eyes would always bet there to defend him. This of course would force him into a life of Thief similar to Disney's Aladdin (Animated version). But because of his good nature he gave his scraps and sometimes heist to people who really need it. Giving him the Alias "The Kind Demon". The when word got to Atem and Seto they journeyed to confront him before the guards decided to execute harsh Justice. When Atem and Seto met him, Seto saw that Jo's (For name Sake) Red Eyes had an instinct to Challange The Blue Eyes. So he and Atem used magic to give the Red Eyes life where Jo finally met his protector. After Red Eyes failed to even scratch The Blue Eye's, Jo begged Atem and Seto to no longer hurt him. As well as promising if they let Red Eyes free he will turn himself over to the authorities no questions asked. Seto of course his shocked at that request and ask Atem what to do. Atem thinks up a perfect solution. Jo is invited to the castle and enrolled in the Royal Army. After a few years he pledges Undying allegiance to Atem as he accepts his promotion as the lead Commander of the Army. With that we have a Millennium version of the Trio and the Three Icons of Yu-Gi-Oh. Both Dragons and The Dark Magician.

No. Sorry, it's good but My story that's over 20 pages long is better. Red eyes originating in volcanoes, from super ancient proto Greece shortly after the time of Atlantis storyline, and Ancient Joey is from Ancient Greece around the time yugi/seto is Pharoah... ancient joeys sister is Kisara. Ancient Mai was an Amazon and her village is protected by Harpies, Harpie Lady personally protecting her just as DM does atem, Kisara came back to Greece as a kid after little kid Seto set her free and then his village was destroyed, Ancient bandit kieth responsible for kisara being in Egypt once again (during the zorc plot), ancient Mai who encountered the red eyes spirit in the volcanoes possessed by it the Amazon shaman conjure it out and put it in joey (giving Joey and Mai the everlasting love bond they have) because of sensing his potential, using it throughout ancient greece looking for his sister battling ancient Weevil a powerful insect mage and Rex Raptor who also came from the volcano lands and found a red eyes egg where he commands ancient greek dinosaurs and has a red eyes of his own but fails against joeys seeing how there is more than 1 red eyes spirits out there. All the while at the same time Kisara gives her blue eyes spirit to seto, come to find joey and kisara family have a family history connected to the proto Ancient greek people who worshipped blue eyes as a god hence why Kisara had blue eyes spirit in her all along and why ancient joey has such a strong potential to wield a red eyes in the first place.. and at the same time we learn blue eyes came from the Greek Gods specifically zeus's lightning hence why blue eyes was able to hold his own against zorc being a form of god itself... learning how zeus feared his own creation blue eyes could become too powerful so he had vulcan in his volcano create a counter to stop him just in case, red eyes, etc etc ancient Joey finds his way to Egypt learning the truth about his sister where seto is now king and have an ultimate duel reigniting the blue eyes red eyes feud since ancient times, seeing how ancient joey is connected to future people in Greece after him like Alexander and we see the spirit of blue eyes lived on in ancient Greeceand Egypt where people still worship it as a god all the way until that story resolves in the capsule monsters arc, i have SO much of all of this written in very good detail, i can email it to anyone who wants to read it.

There was also the Red Eyes and Meteor Dragon fusion in that Season 0 special/movie.

You forgot one, black meteor dragon from the season 0 movie

I wish red eyes had a effect to make him just as good as blue eyes, since his attack is awful for a level 7 monster. These effects could be draining 600 attack from any dark monster on ether players field, and adding that 600 to red eyes. Or when red eyes destroys a monster it can bring back any dragon of equal level or lower from the graveyard. This would combo perfectly for his fusion forms. He would be worth the 2 tributes as well.

I mean Red-Eyes was made during a time the tribute rule did not exist. also it being an effect monster would kinda be off as it is supposed to rival blue-eyes which is a normal monster, DM, red-eyes and blue-eyes form the nostalgic vanilla trio which is nice. also you do not tribute summon red-eyes anymore, you special summon it with the support cards. I just wish it got some more support.

@@magemaster724 it’s supposed to rival blue eyes, but with it having 600 less attack ruins the rival thing. If red eyes had the effects like I said than it would rival blue eyes because it could be equal to it. Or if they want red eyes to equal blue eyes then make a red eyes card that rivals blue eyes attack power, but worse defense. Like give red eyes 3000 attack and 2000 defense. Blue can have his original attack.

@@robertrainford6754 no actually the rivalry is not about strength, it is about blue-eyes having power while red-eyes having the potential (which is supposed to mean in the fusion with other cards). so giving red-eyes the same stats as blue-eyes would kinda ruin that.

@@magemaster724 I didn’t say the same stats. I said he should have a worse defense but rival in attack power. This would make red eyes still rival blue eyes, but also come short to it. Red eyes shouldn’t be potential based on fusion. If he’s going to always be weaker he should be able to rival blue eyes for having effects to make him just as good as blue eyes. Red eyes having potential should mean has the ability to rival blue eyes, not be a worse card.

Nice video ! Really good to see my favourite archetype btu it's seem you forgot Black Meteor Dragon from YGO GX Season 4, is summoned by Darkness against Judai on the volcano. And it's a choice to not included Red-Eyes summon in YGO Rush Duel ? (Just fiew question, sorry for disturbing X) )

thanks^^ and ye, you are right, I totally forgot about meteor black dragon in gx when Trueman used it. (though tbf, red-eyes was not used as material there XD) also about sevens: I decided to not include season 0 or rush duels into this as I did not watch it, sorry.

and now red eyes has a finishing animation in master duel, in this order I imagine god cards are closing in on this privilege

Black skull will always have a special place in my heart cause it was one of the first cards I ever got and it won me my first tournament

Joey was & will always be the best Red-Eyes user! Fubuki really ain't do anything special with Red-Eyes except just show off Darkness & Darkness Metal Dragon.

I don’t know about that. Joey didn’t really specialize in Red-Eyes so you can’t call him a Red-Eyes user. Joey’s deck was an amalgamation of cards that were warriors, dragons, Time Wizard, Jinzo, and other cards that didn’t really have any synergy. Atticus / Fubuki definitely was a Red-Eyes user. And he made a better turn 1 in Season 2 than Joey ever did. He summon Red-Eyes B. Chick, then tributes it to summon the Red-Eyes B. Dragon in his hand. He then activates the spell Inferno Fire Blast to inflict 2400 points of damage against Zane. That was all turn 1. And Atticus only lost because Zane / Ryo regained his plot armour.

You know this got me thinking for the show, RWBY. What if each of the members on the team had a spiritual card monster and Ruby had the Red Eyes Black Dragon? That would be cool. The rest of the members I don't know. Let me know what you think who should have who.

I used the other summon of REBD sword as one can see the monster summoned itself there, on the duel you mentioned, it is directly equipped to gearfried.

It always annoyed me that in the anime Red eyes was treated as a super rare card and is the rival to Blue eyes but having 2400atk and 2000def for a level 7 was just pathetic at least let it have 2500atk like Dark magician why make it have 100 less than Dark magician in both atk/def Yes I get the fact that Blue eyes represents victory and Red eyes represents potential which is why is has so many different forms, fusions and supports it doesn’t change how annoying I found it

it is not made up, it is in the battle city rules that some cards that enable a player to special summon a certain type of monster work for both players, as in dark magic curtain as well.
