I just got into PC Engine today. I decided to delve into the world of Ys for the first time, and I'm glad, since that made me find a whole new library of console games to play~ Also, that Ys IV dubbing sounds awesome. It's the only dub we'll ever get it seems to might as well enjoy it!

i use to have the scd in the 90 and have the game , i`m from canada , i just order the game to my store and also go to the china town to buy other game :)

the sound engine was damn good

I loved playing "JB Harold Murder Club." I was extremely addicted! Just the other day, I found the game again at classicreload.com. Just do a search for "JB Harold Murder Club". It's a different look, they changed a few names but other than that, it's the same game. I was so happy to be playing it again! Ah memories.

I have turbo duo and let me tell u there was like 3 or 4 good us games I understand why it failed in the us but there are so many good Japanese games and so many more as it was a popular system in Japan.

I grew up with a turbographx 16 and then later bought the turbo CD. How can we play these games now today without using the dreaded slow single speed turbo cd?

I own actually copies of most of these. I do have Ys IV, but my version only has the text patch applied, so although the written dialog is english, the spoken isn't. I never knew they had a full fan dub. Bet that's hard to find nowadays.

Well time to start over because you left a mouse cursor over most all of the footage.

How did you get them so crisp? Emulator or some upscaler??

An XRGB-Mini can give emulator like pixels with the right cables

I recorded it with an emulator, but an XRGB will give you a similar result.

@@darthbluntedone That's not a problem with emulation. Easily solved by moving the cursor or better yet disabling it in the capture software!

t16 wasnt 16bit. it was 2 8bit processors running together

1. Who said anything about the number of bits? 2. It wasn't dual 8 bit. Someone around the internet is telling this to people, it is incorrect. It is a single 8 bit CPU and a single 16 bit GPU. The graphics are 16bit.

i guess thus the 8 bit gameplay. fair enough. its weird though ho this played sf2 better than the genesis. (imo) sf2 nits almost arcade perfect! (almost) better than the SNES. (almost)

Are you serious dude? How "who said anything about the number of bits" is rude? Please try to understand different cultures we are not all English or American. Maybe in a weird way for you it was but for me which I am from Greece was not and as it seems certainly not for the guy that wrote it. Stop over reacting about something that is childish. And please if he was rude what makes you with "End, you are wrong, just admit it, and its over, dude".. Hmm..

Wonder if anyone can give me a hand. I downloaded PC Engine CD/Turbo Graffix 16 Emulator. I know where to get the zip file games and how to extract them to play on the turbo grafx 16 part of the emulator. And for the PC Engine CD part, i set of my BIOS correctly. My pathway is right. I just cannot find the correct format IOS games and where to download them from. I can only find the 7z format which does not play and occasionally the RAR files which also don't play. Anyone know how to point me in the direction of finding IOS format games for the PC Engine CD or am I missing something else? Any assistance is appreciated. I've figured out most of the other emulators, even some of rge moderately difficult ones like the Famicom Disk System and MAME (i can only figure out some of the games on MAME, i figured out the CHD thing too, but the other errors confuse me), so i should be able to figure out this emulator.

Visit openemu.org. You will find all the emulators there. Try it, I have always had problems with all sorts of programs and openemu seems to be the final solution. You can play almost everything there, and they have great tutorials. Saludos!

Uhh no, the vast majority of NES games run in 60 fps just like the vast majority of Turbo Grafx games.

Games can't run at 60fps on such limiting hardware, they are way too weak. xD

Actually, most retro consoles DO run at 60fps while using half the interlace resolution. technically almost all of them are 60hz, 1 frame per hz.

9:40 seems to me like a copyright infringement inside another copyright infringement over another copyright infringement.

WTF man? U show the fuckin coin toss for the little preview of Madden. That's like just showing the fighter select screen in Street Fighter 2 or Mortal Kombat and even then that would show more of the actual game

what ever type of emulation this guy was using sucks. I've never seen a tg16 emu with missing graphics and sound before.
