The season can only be as long as the book...
They're already like badly behaved siblings 😂😂 can't wait to see more of this
I love love love this show too! I adore seeing the actor who played the somewhat lost & hapless 2nd born son in "The Durrells of Corfu" playing such a major, funny, joyful, and important role as that of Tristan in this program! When he smiles full on or makes a funny joke or looks happy, it makes me heart beat! I just love all of the characters and would love to know in person a woman so caring, sweet and wise as the Housekeeper!@!!! She is a wonderful character and a perfect actor for the role! She definitely keeps their house functioning! 💙🌹🌼🌷🌻❄⭐💜🎉😇🌈❤💜🎉😇🎆💛🌈❤

I love this show so much! It’s so charming and heartwarming and funny. Only downside is that the 1st season was far too short.

1:08 best clip ever
waiting for season 2
1:43 That scene certainly wasn't in the version of the episode that I saw. Anyone else?

@@ebriggs3498 In the version I've seen of the episode in question (no 6 of the first series; run time 44.50), they cut directly (at 38.58) from the abcess draining of the cow in the barn to inside the pub (well, via an establishing shot of the outside of the pub). The walk that James and Tristan take to the pub, and their exchange, is not included. I can see how the scene would fit between the end of the barn scene and the start of the scene inside the pub. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the end of the scene, where James and Tristan enter the pub, is what is used as the establishing shot in the version I've seen.

I purchased the dvd for season 1. I have found I missed a lot of things because of not closely watching the first time even though I thought I was. I love this series and has been beautifully written. I encourage you to purchase the dvd, you will enjoy it immensely and you may find other subtleties that may have been missed.
0:39 Isn't this scene one that was cut out?
It's more ill-matched friends in "buddy" scenarios than it is a "bromance." James learns lessons from virtually everything and incorporates them into his behaviors, skills set while Tristan misinterprets even the things that he learns, so never sees the terror that his brother must've had trying to rear him suddenly while not seeing his own rebellion against Siegfried's rigidities as what he would have normally experienced going up against his biological father once he was in puberty, adolescence.
Makes me want to light up a Woodbine and quaff a pint.
I wanna move to the Yorkshire Dales
You're not really my type 😂
