The Argentine announced his retirement from football on Saturday 4 June, calling time on a storied 20-year career.
Tevez spent four years at the Etihad Stadium between 2009 and 2013, netting 74 times in 148 appearances at an impressive average of one in every two matches.
He finished as City’s leading scorer in each of his first two seasons, also playing an important role in our title triumph the following year.
The 38-year-old featured 113 times for the Club in the Premier League, getting on the scoresheet 58 times in the process.
Dotted among those strikes were some truly memorable moments, including a brace at Stamford Bridge in 2010 as well as hat-tricks against Blackburn, Wigan, West Brom and, following a three-month hiatus, Norwich.

With Tévez instead of Higuaín or Palacios, Argentina would have won the World Cup in 2014. The worst mistake was not to take it. 😔 World class striker for every team he played in- what an absolute legend

@@Bled00 it's sad he left too early when he was still at gis prime for juventus.. He did absolutely wonder there too and won everything except champions league.. But he played in 1 i guess.. His ball control was too good.. I hardly saw him losing ⚽

@Dact.citizen Manu. I'm from southamerica and the premier caught my interest because of how intense the league was. Players played the ball, in contrast to our football that they are diving and calling fouls for absolutely anything. This was around early 2000s and when Tevez moved to City and I started paying more attention to City, I started rooting for the team. since Tevez arrival

Very underrated player by many, I guarantee you if he had been playing for us since the beginning of his career to the end retiring at City every Goal record would be broken, nobody can handle his Bulldog like approach to the game, one of my favorite players of all time💙

Genius. His touches and courage in front of the goal was phenomenal. Wish he stayed little longer at the City. Yet, as true and honest professional, couldn’t just stay for some more finance and always followed his heart. True champion!

People need to know that Man City was only a prospect back in 2009. Only a year after Abu Dhabi group take over. Tevez among others is one of the forces that transformed the team to the dominant club we know now. Winning the PL for the first time since 1968.
