Ash was only looking after her until they could find a way to return her to her own world, with her own family. Just like Lapras. @@joten81 orange islands is an official league tournament, but with a different set-up. Basically, Orange Islands were the original Alola. Before the concept of new regions, more leagues, new species etc was introduced. So it never really got the attention it should've gotten because, at the time (and now still) and because of that people saw it as a filler arc. Which is ironic because people were complaining that Ash never won a league or competition, for years! When he literally won the 2nd league he participated in, and several smaller competitions, after that as well. As well as the Battle Frontier. He's even beat legendaries, caught mythicals, encaged special evolution, has tons of rare pokémon. He may have been the same age all these years, but so what? I never understood why that was a problem either. One Piece has been around since '98. Luffy has aged two years, through a 2 year time skip, about 5-ish years ago irl. Probably more. So stop complaining already. Pokémon fans are some serious nitpickers, yo. Where's the love, yo?

I love how Pokemon journeys isn’t just about ash going into the galar region and entering the galar league , but rather , a travel through the world , and we will get to see many of ash’s old companions and pokemon .

@TechHYPE honestly I've had so much fun with this season that I think every episode was worth watching. I couldn't even get through episode 2 of sun and moon. Ash is actually catching Pokémon that have a hope of winning.

@TechHYPE I miss gyms to but I feel that though I miss it, I feel that the reason why I have trouble getting through Pokémon series in the first place was because of the same thing happening every episode. Plus Ash is already battling gym leaders around the region for ranking. This series has already peaked my interest in the Unova region episode in the future, a region in which I despised the Pokémon.

@TechHYPE It's great now coz you don't have to wait a week, watch it and the league arc will be so satisfying, I hated it after episode 20 coz all the new stuff was consumed so fast but I caught up (after rewatching the whole series) when the raw was just 10 episodes from the finale and damn it was nice.

If you look at it, the alolan league was new and doesn't have much of competitive trainers and considering ash has been battling in 7 regions, it was truly a win for ash. Also considering he had a powerful roster of Pokemons

He has released like butterfree, pidgeot, and since then he only released greninja and goodra like 4 gens later, and then next gen like naganadel? Those are pretty good, but please don't exaggerate by saying EVERY SINGLE TIME, cause he really doesn't.

Imagine if his released Pokemon returned to him. His Butterfree, Pidgeot, Lapras, Goodra, Greninja (I want it back so badly), and Naganadel (Even though it's from another world and come through an Ultra wormhole)
