Based on the only confirmed Pokémon on his team, ima bet the others are legendary/mythical Pokémon too. Maybe like Moltres, Giratina, Regirock, Shaymin and Deoxys? Maybe a Ditto too honestly, because otherwise I see no other way that he could’ve caught Darkrai and Latios aside from like an OP Wobbuffet. 🤔 Literally edited this seconds after posting because stupid autocorrect made “Latios” into “Latinos” 😂😂😂

Damn I hate him so much

I love that most of the “rivals” in there were literally only there for like league tournaments or were just irrelevant like Barry, Terino, and the nerd from XY (forgot his name). But honestly Paul was Ash’s best rival mainly because he was the complete opposite of Ash when it came to raising and training Pokémon whereas Gary raised and trained the same as Ash; just a whole lot better at it

Because virgil is from unova region so sylveon is not possible because she is from kalos region

You are about to see me ranting on Trip: I just don't see Trip as Ash's rival. His Timburr lost to Ash's Oshawott, then evolved into Gurdurr and lost to Cilan's Dwebble, then lost to Bianca's Emboar as a Conkeldurr. Aside from his broken instant transmission Serperior, his other Pokémon appear for one or two episodes and then disappear to never be seen again after that. I might've been interested if he battled Ash in a 6 on 6 battle to see his team fully evolved, but no. He loses in the first round. I couldn't care less that he wasn't a good rival, but I'm sure a full battle between him and Ash would've been cool than Ash getting matched up against Trip in the beginning and then losing to an idiot who forgot to bring 6 Pokémon and got nothing but pure luck.

Oh my god was thinking that a squirtle evolves into wartortle

@ Paul definitely is stronger than gary I hate to say. Paul almost beat an Ash in the sinnoh league that was WAY stronger than the johto Ash gary fought. He consistently beat him before the league as well. Also your point on alain is so biased it's not even funny. Alain is only strong because of mega evolution? Ash literally only made it to the finals with the plot armor known as Ash greninja😂. Also u realize alain took out FIVE of ashs six pokemon WITHOUT mega evolution right?

Yeah trip is good but his final team is not that strong, alain was strong and better trainer, but ash loses that battle for stupid,because ash got a team that can beat alain without problem if is well used, and ash trainer wise was really bad, alain was far better trainer, also gary and paul is a close fight both final teams are good but i think gary was a little better, ursaring in a final team is no good, but is a really really close fight between the 2

No doubt that Gary is the most meaningful rival to Ash, he made Ash's minded more open and know how weak is he compared with the World; Paul is the most influential rival Ash, he made Ash knew there might be different ways to train the pokemon but they are still striving the same dream, and that is win and be the greatest ; And for sure, Alain is the strongest rival to him. (A Charizard which never fell lol)
