I have heard my dad say the words "I love you" and "I am proud of you" less than a combined 5 times in my entire life. Watching a man like Canelo tell his son he loves him, building his confidence, telling him "Good job" for not crying over something small, but also teaching his son that it is ok to have emotions... is an amazing thing to watch. My respect for that man just went through the roof.

My Dad doesn't say things like that. Instead he showed it by working hard and valuing education. It was a different generation, but it doesn't mean that he cares any less. As a man, I don't see a problem with crying, but it is best done in private.

My dad never apologised, said excuse me or even thanked me for anything let alone those words you mentioned, but insults came easy to him. Canelo is the type of dad I’m gonna be for my kids if and when I have any.

you dont need to be a world champion my friend. love your son, wrestle with him, correct him, be there, do all those fun things that dads do. No matter what you do, or who you are, i promise you your son will look at you as his biggest hero. a young boy thinking his dad can do anything is simply indicative of a strong relationship with his dad. you can be that hero, be there!

If Mexico is so amazing then why are people constantly crossing the border in unsafe conditions to be in the U.S? Yeah the U.S is bad but not nearly as bas as Mexico. Your government is beyond corrupt. The U.S is too but not nearly as bad as Mexico. The cartels literally go around killing people in the most egregious ways. I've seen beheadings, peoples heads on sticks, people being skinned, burned alive, and so many worse things. There is no justice for the victims. None. And there are never any investigation done. Cartels literally tax farmers. Idk how tf you can defend that.

@@helenam3669 you do know that most migrants entering the U.S., through the Mexico-US border, aren’t even from Mexico right? Also, even though there are innocent casualties, like in the US in shootings, the narco homicides that happen are mostly between narcos. US also has issues like us, except they do not publicize it to its people, as much as they do that Mexico is a “war zone”. US arms Narcos, they sell them weapons and buy most of the drug exports. If the US is the country that most consumes drugs, why aren’t you capturing the American Chapos?

As a Hispanic man loved that Canelo told his son it’s ok to cry in certain situations. Growing up in our culture as little kids we’re always told men don’t cry. It’s why Latino men in general are very machismo cuz since we could understand we’ve been told don’t cry don’t show weakness. It’s truly great to see probably the one person who embodies machismo at the moment tell his son it’s ok to cry sometimes.

So Caleb saying Canelo thinks he’s just a pushover just like everybody else he’s beat thought before he beat them is dumb. Caleb has never faced anyone with Canelos work ethic. Canelo doesn’t underestimate anyone, that’s why he’s so successful, and doesn’t suffer big upsets like other big stars of the sport.
