I'm going to get a penn 7500 I javelin caught 200lb sharks on the one I got now with a star rod big fan
Looks great, but hope they give it the handles from the Battle 3 reels. Very strange going from Battle 3 to Spinfisher and getting the smaller handles. Even the Fierce 4 reels come with nice power handles.

The paddle handles are a non starter for me.

i have 3-4500's and 2- 5500's. i always close the bail manually. i close the bail manually on all my reals.
90% of my setups have Penn reels, but have to go with shimano bait runners for live lining. Penn can't figure out how to make an adjustable secondary drag that allows for dialing in the right resistance without corroding out in a month.

im using ssvi LL, the lightest rear drag still get lot of tension for me.. i think i want to switch to shimano baitrunner
Revamp the 700 Z series. Particularly the 707z. Finding a Spinfisher 707 is impossible. Finding a 707z is possible but it’s pricey. I think one exists. Penn came out with a newer Z series but didn’t have any for lefties.
Still rocking 5's. Hope the construction is better than the 6's.

I have a VI 3500 which has been submerged and out through hell and it’s still smooth and 100 percent. Not sure what you found wrong with VI

@@InshorePursuitFLthe V drag is huge. The VI was engineered down to save some coin. V every day

@@glennsmethurst2235 on the drag yes I agree. But the VI actually has more drag power compared to V series for each size. The VI also has improved saltwater intrusion compared to the V

There reels are great but there customer service sucks! If you order one you can’t talk to a person to find out anything about it don’t bother with leaving a voicemail they won’t even call back. If they treat you like this when you order a product you can imagine how they will treat you on there warranty!!

"Could be a 50-pound fish, could be a 100-pound fish, could be a 200-pound fish, could be a 201-pound fish, could be a 99-pound fish, could be you turn it two times, could be you turn it five times, could be you turn it 200 times, could be you turn it 189 times, could be you turn it 139-1/2 times, the bail won't come down automatically..." Golly, what about if it's a 193 pound fish and you try to turn the reel handle 87 times? WE DON'T GET IT YET! YOU NEED TO SAY THE SAME THING ANOTHER 600 TIMES! Could this guy possibly be any more vacuous and annoying with a ball gag?
