Sobrang konti ng kinukuha nila na students so sobrang exclusive siya to smart and well deserving students. Most of our scholars are in that program. So you can just imagine how smart ate Aura is! papasok ako ng med school this august and i took up biology. touché. although we studied plants, insects, ecology and etc,that are not related to medicine. still no regrets that i took up biology.

hii ate aura i just want to say thank you for making a pre-med series, it made me realized that i'm looking at it from a wrong angle. I was about to take bs human bio for the reason that i can graduate faster but i realized that i do want to enjoy my college life before makipagbakbakan sa med school hahahaha and because of your series i realized that i want to take bs nursing for my pre-med course.

BS Bio grad from DLSU here and a licensed physician as well. And I concur with Dok Aura na hindi basis ang pre-med for doing good acad-wise as a medical student. Like her, I also had better grades than a lot of my peers who took Nursing, Pharma, or even Med Tech. Heck, I even had a couple or so classmates who were Liberal Arts majors pero consistent Dean’s Lister sila during med school. I guess it all boils down talaga to the actual individual, sa kanyang angking talino at syempre kung pursigido sya. Bonus na lang yung clinical experience in your pre-med years. 😇

Related to this, I do have plans of proceeding to medicine but some doubted my decision of choosing Bio due to some misconceptions regarding this course. Very late comment but i'd just like to say that San Beda University also offers BS Human Biology. I am currently enrolled in that course and unlike De La Salle it is a four year course. Not only that but our department made the subjects medically inclined since most of the students enrolled in the program will take up medicine in the future. Its an okay course, will recommend it for aspiring med students! :> :> :>

There's also BS Human Biology at San Beda College- Manila 😊 but unlike in DLSU, my course is taken up for 4 years 😄

BS Hum bio is also offered in DLSU-Dasma (similar to BS Biology) but not similar to DLSU-Taft which is a 6-yr premed-medical program.

went back to this video since i am confused if i should take up nursing as pre med or human bio and take up the 6 year shortcut to med. i really want nursing because i wanted to experience patient care and community helping, and stuff. but the 8 years before becoming MD is just too long, i am the oldest child so i am expected to bring money for my fam but i am still studying on that time being. idk what to choose T___T i'm still grade 11 though, i still have a long way to go! i hope i can decide soon though T__T

DoctAuraa, ilan years po kayo sa pre-med mo and med proper?? :) i understand that you've shifted from BS Human Bio to BS Bio and took up your Med proper. So i figured you completed the normal route of 4yrs pre-med and 4yrs med.... Perooo honestly, you look so youngg HAHAH. So i just have to ask :) Alsooo, great videoss! You are a really great help not just for us aspiring doctors but to the general youth as well :D More powerrr!

Please try to interview someone who took up Psychology as their pre med cause from what i heard from everyone, they always say that psychology is the worst pre med daw. Or nahihirapan daw mag cope up yung mga psych grads turned med students sa med school. I'm an incoming 4th year psych student who happens to be an aspiring doctor as well, and i wanna hear what a fellow psych student who's taking up medicine has to say. Thank you Dok!! :)

Thanks for the advice Dok Aura :) Im a MedTech graduate and I can say it doesnt matter kung ano ang premed pinagsimulan mo as long as matyaga ka at always nagseseek kay Lord for everything then kayang kaya. I wish I wouldve pursued Med when I was still younger haha but Im happy my son is going to.
