I think all of December's birthstones are beautiful in their own ways.

I didn't know Tanzanite was a December birthstone! I'm quite happy to have found that out now, specially with my birthday just around the corner! 😂 ♐

I always thought🤔 December's birthstone was blue topaz.💎 Now I know there're 3 other gemstones💙💎 for this month and look very nice. It's also my friend's birthstone💎 and born on Christmas too.🥳🎂🎁 Nice video and Happy holidays.🎄❤💚

My birthday is in December, but I was never all that excited about turquoise. I don't know tanzanite well enough to have much of an opinion. But I inherited a few pieces of jewelry from my great-grandmother, and one piece is a very clear, almost pink amethyst, surrounded by intensely faceted zircons, which were popular for "affordable" jewelry in the early 20th century. Of the usual choices for December, I'd choose the zircons. (My favorite color is purple, and I do have a bunch of amethysts, but my favorite purple stone is charoite.)

I've worked with Turquoise, i sanded it into a Cube.its very soft.

sticking to the expensive blue crystal theme, I'd like my birth month (december) to have Larimar as one of it's birthstones. ideally I'd rather december have red gemstones not blue as when i hear december or say it i see reddish orange hues (minor synesthesia) so it would make more sense for the gemstones to match the color of the month (the month of August knows what's up coz August is a green to lime coloring)

I’m a Sagittarius and I just order tanzanite pendent to go with my lapis lazuli point pendent I was wondering how do they work together and what works well with them

I hope that you have a safe and extremely happy holiday season. Now that being said, doesn’t June also have three birthstones as well? I know one is Alexandrite , but I also thought that the diamond as well as the pearl, gemstones for June as well and if they aren’t could you possibly tell me what other stones are June’s birthstones?

December here. I really dont care for turquoise. Loveee me some tanzanite though. Zurcon is nice but meh. But . tanzanite! I love it. I just got a supposed jtv old stock .25 ct pear cut with amazing color and fire and oooooits nice . the points arent all symetric but they do all line up sharply. Im fitting it to a 2.5mm 14k white gold band set for a similar size marquis cut. I can just move two prongs slightly and it will be supported well. 3 years ago i never thought id be able to get even such a small stone of any quality let alone a .25 ct worth about $4 a point . i can have it touched up with 300,000 and 500,000 grit rouge and have it heated and it will gain another $1 per point. According to my local gem people. Its taken witha grain of salt.

Speaking of Arizona, I'm hoping to go to the Tuscon gem show next February.

Jamie Hughes tanzanite is usually either violet, blue or both. Sometimes they can be pleochroic meaning it can change colour depending on how light reflects inside the gem. The brown variety(to me) is just zoisite, it just has vanadium so that it can be heat treated into the desirable colours.

I see Blue Topaz being considered as a December birthstone in some jewelry stores, but I guess not all jewelry stores or companies consider it that.
