Can you tell me about medical healthcare in Charles Town? Also is Harpers Ferry a good option for relocation? Thank you!

Lived in Martinsburg for 7 years but did a lot of business in Charles Town. The Eastern Panhandle is a great place to live and work!

@@movingtovawv Sure. The roundhouse, the downtown area, easy access to I-81, Christmas Parade, Boyd House- Martinsburg is a great place if you like history. We are planning to move back soon from Florida.

Moving to Jefferson County from the DC area (where I've lived most of my life) and purchasing a house. I'm excited about it. The DC area (no surprise) has gotten too expensive and too crowded. I can work remotely, so it doesn't make sense to live there anymore. I'm looking forward to this next chapter of my life being a West Virginia resident.

Great information. I'm thinking of moving there, working a few years, and then retiring in the area (after funding an out of state college education or two).

I grew up in Charles Town and Ranson. We would pile 3-5 of us on a sled and go down Tater Hill, we were definitely Gen X, lol...

I’m building a home in Ranson. I can believe how many new communities are coming soon. I wish they had a Chipotle or Panda Express. Applebees seems to be the popular restaurant. Coming from Frederick Md.

It's a little drive but there is a Chipotle and a Panda Express on the same parking lot in Martinsburg

Oktober Fest at tbe Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown and Olde Tyme Christmas in Harper's Ferry are also fabulous events !!!

I have never lived in Charles Town… but my maternal great-parents and older generational kin where from Charles Town and Harper’s Ferry, from the time it was a part of VA to the time it became WV. I would like to know more about it. Surnames that lived there were… Cook, Irby and Myers.

It was supposed to get changed out before posting but went over our head. The culprit has been dealt with 💤🐟 Just kidding of course but in all honesty I had my craziest, busiest Summer in Real Estate and I was just too exhausted and made a poor decision to post what my editing team handed me at the time. KZread makes it impossible to make the necessary edits there once it’s posted

No. The point and appeal of Charles Town is the way it is now. If people wanted to live in an urban area then stay in an urban area. I swear the wrong type of people are moving here.

Yes, West Virginia should be modernized.

Do you live in West Virginia? But I don't believe West Virginia will be modernized anytime soon part of the reason that West Virginians are set in their ways, and high-tech jobs probably won't open business there as the state is ranked the worst in conducting business, as a matter of fact West Virginia is an overlooked state, especially the fact that the state is losing people than gaining.

No. I don't think it should be. If you don't like it, then move elsewhere. DC, NY, and other People need to stay away. They are going to mess this up. And turn into the places they left.

My friend's grandparents owned the yard where John Brown was hanged before the house was built they lived in, totally creepy tree.

This area has been destroyed. Don't bother unless you like overpriced property and NY aholes.
