I don't know if you'll see this, upgrading your boat is that just for looks? Or does it help with fishing? Also how do you get so much money to buy them?? I'm new to the game but even in expert mode landing a shark only gave me around 2500.

Fish finder is available for all levels when you switch to hard mode.

Eh, I’m returning this one. Let me know when you can drive the boats around, as well as walk around the lakes. When they do that I’m sold. That’s the best part of fishing is checking different spots of the same hole. Until then, not for me.

Since it is a 360⁰ photo of an actual location, that isn't possible as it will become distorted as you move closer to the image . In order to generate locations that you can drive and walk to, it would require digitally recreating those elements in the game, which would make it quite large and require a lot of processing power to get the level of detail you currently see. Quest 3 might be able to keep up, but I doubt earlier headsets can. They would need to use graphics like bait, walkabout mini golf, or top golf to achieve this. If you have a VR capable PC, you can try the Ultimate Fishing simulator on Steam VR. This does allow you to drive boats and walk around. I did try it, but at the time, my PC was barely VR capable, and it was quite glitchy.

No driving around in the boat? 100% dealbreaker

That's because it's a 360⁰ photo taken at that exact spot for realistic scenes.

I got my submarine award after only buying five of the six boats available to buy. I have all four of the fresh water, but only three of the salt water. I have not yet purchased the last, most expensive sailboat. But I still got my submarine. I did earn the Hwangpo though, so maybe that made the difference and counted toward my total of eight. Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like you found a bug. I know more boats have been introduced since I recorded this video. Maybe the boat count triggered the award.

U can drive you’re boats just watch a KZreadr in the middle of the water on a submarine check it out sorry I don’t know how to send a video to you

You are in the middle of the water when you use boats but they are static, they can't be moved from the location you fish from.
