Deshalb is in this video... daher und deswegen are just synonyms and are used in the same way.

Please teach us difference between bei und als I am so much confused. In the book there is often use bei. Sometime bei have other meanings too.

One way to make sondern a lot less confusing, is to not think of it as "but" in English, but rather as... "but rather" 😁 Heute esse ich kein Müsli, sondern Ruhreier mit Käse = Today I don't eat Muesli, but rather scrambled eggs with cheese. This is one reason I check out these videos, to see if there's stuff I've missed - I had 2 semesters of German at Uni, and I just barely remember learning da = because. I pretty much only use weil (nebensatz) and denn (hauptsatz). Is da super common? One other meaning of doch that I like is where it kinda means "oh but yes", where you're taking someone's statement you believe to be wrong and not only reversing it, but emphasizing that the other person is wrong: "Deine Mutter war Ärztin, nicht war?" "Doch, sie war Lehrerin."

Nein geht leider nicht. “Bevor” steht immer bei dem Ereignis, das später stattfindet. “Vorher” steht immer beim Ereignis, das zuerst stattfindet.

Hallo Luzi, Danke fur die Videos! My question is in English, cannot put it in German. Can you help to specify do we need to use AKK or DAT with these conjunctions? Should it be assumed that if you do not mention anything it will always stay in NOM? I notice sometimes you mention AKK or DAT but sometimes like in this video you say nothing about it. Here is example "Max macht seine Hausafgaben, bevor er in [die Schule] geht." Since this is Fem it is hard to tell if it's AKK or NOM. Or like I said, should I assume it's NOM since you don't mention anything? It would be great if every video used your color boxes or color text for Kasus even if it's not the purpose of the lesson. It will help me and maybe others. Thank you!

Hallo Michael, Conjunctions don’t need to come with a certain case. They just connect sentences. So in each part you still beed a subject (always in Nominative) and a verb. In your example (… bevor er in die Schule geht) we have a preposition (IN). And prepositions always need a certain case. Here “in” needs accusative because its a movement involved. … bevor er (Subject in Nominativ) in die Schule (preposition and noun in accusative) geht (verb). Hope this helps. 😊
