It’s so sad on console that you would get trash talked for playing support roles. They’ll be like “your at the bottom of the leaderboard” when I’m willing to play Kali for the sake of helping hard breachers get kills while also using powerful drone spots. Sometimes only one of the hard breachers on the field like Ace dies first which renders my pick useless. Most of the time it feels like I’m the only defender that knows how to do site set ups to the full extent while everyone is too lazy to reinforce hatches.

@@booker4984 The difference between Kali and other alternatives is that she is capable of permanently destroying gadgets, not disabling. You cannot believe that 10 seconds EMP impact grenades will work during solo que while nobody is willing to play IQ to mark Kaid’s electro claws, especially since Bandit’s gadgets were buffed to place multiple batteries on the same reinforcement, and let’s not forget about the Thatcher ban. I should’ve got back to playing IQ but there are circumstances were she, Fuze, Twitch, and Flores can’t reach. I chose Kali because the team wasn’t willing to slow down for operators like Twitch and Flores to do their jobs.

@@booker4984 Even if I wasn’t using Kali I’m using support role operators that aren’t design to get as much kills as entry fraggers. I don’t care about getting kills because that’s not why I play Siege. I care about helping the team win in my own ways. It’s frustrating to hear players talking smack about me on the leader board when they don’t see the effort I’m trying to put into rank matches and I put countless hours in custom games to find the best angles for every maps. Like they don’t even go on cameras when their dead to notice how difficult it was to set up my drone/camera spots.

I love this video I don’t think enough content creators make this kinda video and it’s applicable for a lot of other games with one life modes. Sieges gameplay is starting to look a lot more like a sort of chess with guns and it’s roles sort of similar to tournament paintball where the 3s put everything together and keep everyone connected the 2s which are your flex players and flank watch who keep the 1s alive and get info for everyone and the 1s who are your entry players who just go into the “front” and go for the kills looking to flank and get through the lanes and areas that are exposed and free ways onto site

Could you make a full list of characters that fall into certain roles? Would be amazing.

This can also apply to other games. Maybe some of them because there are no "entry" types or maybe there are no flank watches something like that. But most of them are applicable because of how accurate they are and sometimes your allies or yourself create mistakes but they can be learned also by experience.

I realize now that the roles aren’t so much about the operators but more about the play style. A Ying can play entry frag but also secondary hard breach.

I love this kind of content. I sorta understand these roles but I'm sure this will explain it well. Athieno out here doing the Lord's work. 😩

It is always reminded how important it is, but it happens to me almost all the time, that after I drone the entrance and few adjacent rooms, I proceed further to the bombsite, then I need to drone again the incoming rooms following to the bombsite, but always some roamer kills me when I am on drone. (I am using mines, but cannot mine every possible way to my back and while on drone i cannot hear what is happening). Can you please advise how to counter this? Solo queue.

you should be trying to make a space where your teammates can watch an angle for you, and also have a claymore setup just to be safe, i'd say the most important thing you have to focus on is getting teammates to work with you, help you out to progress further in the round.

I am entry, The Ops I use are ASH, Zofia, NOKK, Sledge(rarely), Finka (sometimes) Finka can be used better in support role I know since she is the most complete attack operator she is also good for rush xd😁

I can play support players and be on top of the leader board. I just know small tips to get points that works still.

As an attacker my favorite strategy is rushing into sight on the opposite of breach smoking the bomb room and planting the defuser. I main blitz btw, I use his sheild for protection from behind and if I get contested I can hunt them down.

I have always played flex on attack but my defender role has merged into more of a site extension roamer or a first line of defence. I pick operators like Azami or Castle and setup site in a way that let's me deny common entries and delay the execute. The problem is that I'm a Gold player so I often get stuck playing my life with little hope for a refrag and if I'm not on a hot streak I lose my team rounds. I know this playstyle is a lot more viable in higher elo so my question is should I adapt to the elo I'm in and change the way I play or tough it out and fit in better at a higher elo when I make it there?
