It is indeed strange, but currrently it is scientifically accepted to run on hind legs only, but can walk on four. Just not as hunched as an Indoraptor.

How stable are most of these mods? Do they cause crashes or break saves often?

I didnt have any problem with them, but keep in mind that updates Will ,most certainly, broke almost all your mods

There isn't a four legged predator in the game that matches postosuchus frame, it was the best they could do with the limitations of the animations.
