Empathy? Depends on which human culture you observe. Some cultures see dogs and cats as pets to love and protect, while other cultures see them as nothing but food or an object to abuse and torture.

If any of us hears about an abused animal we get 3 or 4 people together 1 will be local PD in uniform and visit the person to explain their options. People that abuse woman, children or animals never have a good time in jail.. Our local PD are very supportive !
